Thats some pretty cool driving. How much does it cost - to block off those streets though? And the bridge - during the day. Some serious cash spashed out there to do that.

Pretty sure that the phone ring with the violinist was staged.

See a fair few lately - but a couple of good ones I'll highlight.

A good old fashioned orgy. Good cast, bunch of friends decide to have an orgy as one last bash to see off their house. Enjoyable, not too raunchy - don't let the title put you off (or fool you to think it's something else!!).

Attack the Block. Aliens invade a south london neighbourhood - and the local lads go about killing them. Good British humour, something a little different. Kids in it are quite funny.

The 3D is very similar to Avatar - in that it enhances the all round feeling - and really puts you in the middle of what's happening. Rather than the gimicky 3D where you get shit jumping out at you, the scare effect type 3D. I thought it was well done - and worth going to a 3D theatre to see it. What's the difference in 3D prices compared to 2D in NZ?

Saw Tintin as well - thought it was very very well done. As you say terror - the action sequences were bloody good. Loved the humour in it as well. Both my kids loved it - and my son now can't wait until the 2nd one. I remember reading the Tintin (and Asterix) books as a kid - so I was already a fan before watching the movie. Well worth the price of admission.

There's already some shorts out on the Marvel movie coming out - where they all get together. Thor's brother is the villian! Looks pretty good. I though those latest super hero movies were some of the best that's ever been made. Really looking forward to seeing what they do when they put them all together.

I thought that was Vince Neil - who Tyler was thinking of? Not David Coverdale?

Green Lantern. Pretty good, saw it in 3D and similar to the last one I saw in 3D - Thor, it added to the depth of what you were watching - and wasn't corny. The big studios are really getting the hang of 3D with the latest movies, which is good to see.

Enjoyed the movie, thought it was as good, if not slightly better than Thor. Sets up nicely for a 2nd one as well.

Didn't realize until the credits started rolling - but Temura Morrison was in it. He was the Green Lantern that died to give his ring to Hal (the first earth green lantern). Will have to watch it again some time - to pick him out again, as I had no idea.

The new transformers is pretty good. Watched it Friday night. Great use of 3D - gives depth to the screen, not any corny things jumping out at you. A number of digs at Megan fox in the movie as well. Witwicky has a new girl-friend (Rosie Huntington-Whiteley - very nice!) .. .and there's some digs - about his old girlfriend being dumped.

Darn that Statham video is no longer available. Love his Crank type movies.

Apparently the Avengers movie they've signed up Captain America - Chris Evans, Robert Downey as Iron Man, Samual L Jackson, the guy who plays Thor. But it will be a new Hulk by the sounds of it. Inside word is that Edward Norton was a pain in the ass to deal with, so he's getting replaced.

    Arthur.

Great movie - Russell Brand as Arthur the spoiled playboy. Perfect in my opinion for this role - and it's a funny movie all the way through. Took my kids to it as well - and they thought it was great. Helen Mirren is his nanny and she's also very good in it as well.

    Bart - you're a front rower - that doesn't say much! <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Yeah, we just finished watching True Blood season 1. Pretty good. Haven't seen a TV season with that much flesh in a while though - which added to the enjoyment!

SixPack App is another that's out there. It's free as well.
Lose It! is not a bad one for tracking your calorie budget and daily consumption. And that's free as well.
