So apparently those that have accused the players of abuse are in the process of sourcing CC TV footage from the McDonalds where these events eventuated. They are adamant that the Crusader players are lying and are going to do anything to prove that.

I guess all will be revealed when that footage comes out.

My worry is that they're going to get Marius Jonker to make a ruling on the footage.

Ah fuck this fluffybunny. Just like Sevu. I just wish our All Blacks wouldn't assault people. Fucking disgraceful. I'm fine with rehabilitation for people who do these things but people like this shouldn't be public figures and representing our nation.

have to say, when i was at uni in dunners most people that used their diversions did so for things like taking a piss somewhere a little too public or in one case nicking all the pool balls from a pub, maybe pinching a road sign...not so much fighting let alone hitting a woman

Flatmate of mine got diversion, but the summary of facts was a great read. He was arrested in town after an Otago v Canterbury rugby game for offensive behaviour or similar for pulling a brown eye in the street. The SoF went something like: "Mr (Smudge's flatmate) then proceeded to drop his trousers and bend over, part his cheeks and say "kiss this, Canterbury".

@canefan you utter mother fucker Hipkins

shit like this is irresponsible as all fuck!!

"The biggest promise they are making at the moment is they are willing for Kiwis to get Covid for Christmas"

Well, Chris, are you waiting for the Easter Bunny to bring it? Or perhaps wheel it out for ANZAC day? Or is it only bad if it comes on a public Holiday?

As for those Qld/NZ parallels here is Qld's biggest cuck Steven Miles ""I don't think Queenslanders want to just give in this close to the end of the pandemic," Mr Miles said.

"I don't think Queenslanders will want to let COVID in for Christmas if we don't have it and New South Wales still does."

      Be honest you fucking fluffybunnies

That is perfectly in keeping with the messaging they've started to roll out over the last few weeks which taps into the unbridled fears of the most insular of Kiwis. That's why they planted the seed of thousands of deaths in the minds at the 1pm conference last Wednesday. In absence of a well-executed plan, they're preying on mental frailties instead. Lovely stuff.

    • RE: Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year

2016 was a tough old year for me, tossing away a comfortable life in Dunedin because I was constantly reminded of an ex-girlfriend everywhere I went in Dunners. So, for someone who planned to the nth degree, it was a bold move to up sticks and leave with no plan.

After a couple of months of drifting aimlessly (albeit with accommodation support from parents and some contract work I can do anywhere), I've ended up with full-time work in a completely different (and interesting) industry. What's more, it's Monday to Friday and (generally) 8-5pm...

So 2017 has delivered more than I might have expected this time last year. And I'm currently having a single malt out of Dad's cupboard so no complaints here.

Meanwhile, I'm figuring out what to actually do with a summer holiday...

To the rest of you, enjoy the time with whoever you're spending it with.

@Tregaskis said in All Blacks v Wallabies at Eden Park.:

@hydro11 There is possibly a recent precedent. Two years ago Cruden transgressed and missed the Arg / SA tour plus the Bledisloe III game in Brisneyland (Barrett started, and Slade came on and kicked the matchwinner). I don't recall Cruden being injured (there was talk he would play for Manawatu during his "suspension" but I don't think it happened) and I believe his next game was the second EOYT game vs England (Carter started the first game in Chicago).

I have no idea what Cruden did but he served about a month for his misdemeanour. Perhaps Aaron Smith will serve the same.

Cruden was late for a flight which is a bit more serious IMO.

Although it seems arriving early to an airport isn't necessarily a good thing either - too much time on Aaron's hands . . .

You could float a warship on the amount of wanking off over Ardern. It's all a bit revolting on Stuff. Anyone would think she is the lovechild of Clark and Savage with the wit of Lange in his prime.

English needs to be a bit careful. I think we've seen more than a few major votes around the world this year that have been decided on perception and emotion, not fact or logic.

I think I've come up with a word to describe the fatigue one suffers from reading too many columns on Ardern:

      Jaundicinda.

Just a note on Steve's posts - it was Julie Anne Genter who cycled herself to the hospital to give birth, not Jacinda Ardern.

I'm shedding no tears over Ardern's departure. But I'm in Queenstown for a wedding, so I shall save my wider thoughts for another day.

Thatโ€™s a good call too. I will top it though.

Whilst it is frowned upon to say โ€œanything by such and suchโ€, I will give you:-

Never let her slip away by Andrew Gold.
      Lonely boy by Andrew Gold
      Anything by Andrew Gold

I'm not sure "top" is the word you're looking for ๐Ÿ™‚ ... but I have to say that song cannot be bottomed. Even by Dirty Dancing's "Time of My Life".

Also not in your favour in the fight to the bottom is I have never heard of your listed songs or the artist.

Andrew Gold is the genius behind the Golden Girls theme! (albeit the theme was sung by a lady)

Can't agree with him about Nisbett and Johnson. They're even more pensionable than Smith (performance wise at least for TJ).

He's still very much a class act in the commentary box. He'll be in hot demand in Australia and England for a year or three yet. No need to retire if he's enjoying it.

      Next time, I'll use an emoji, guys! Take a pick: ๐ŸŽฃ ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜œ ๐Ÿ˜‚

Edited to add that I'd support an award going to a jockey and his horse more than just going to the jockey alone. It's the horse who's doing the hardest work.

All very well but jockeys don't just ride one horse - they're often riding 5 or 6 on a day. Plus it's "sportsman" of the year.

Let's just be very clear here - racing is across all six inhabited continents. It is a global sport and based on McDonald's efforts (even in largely Australia) he has been rated as the world's best.

I'd also make the point NZ has produced the best jockey in the world in 2022 (JMac) and the best harness driver in America (and really the world) in Dexter Dunn. Two generational talents at the absolute top of their respective games at the same time.

Oh c'mon, in horse racing it's the horse that should be nominated, not the jockey!

Split second decision making is the difference between an OK jockey and a great jockey, and JMac makes the right call 98% of the time. Plus, put simply, horses run for some jockeys more than others.

Will get the usual complaint from people who don't respect horse racing, but the fact James McDonald - who is officially rated as the best jockey in the world - cannot get the nod ahead of some of these sportsman of the year finalists is nothing short of farcical.

EDIT: fuk u @mariner4life for posting just before me.
