But we appointed a coach who was green at preparing sides for the arm wrestle that is modern Test Rugby. He's been schooled by Razzie two weeks in row. If the ABs are to beat South Africa (or Ireland or France) any time soon they will need to be a lot more savvy.

Jury is still out of Robertson, but I can't see him coming back from a loss in Sydney.
Ian Foster is a very decent man, but he often seemed out of his depth as AB coach. His sides put in some really lacklustre performances, but he was able to make them look at their best for the more important matches. That might have been because some of the older players like Whitelock, Retallick and Aaron Smith had certain standards drummed into them as part of the culture of the All Black teams they played for early their international careers. The odd performance based on intense effort and sharp execution didn't hide the lack of evolution or innovation.

Incredibly cheap in comparison with what you'd pay in sports stadiums in Europe. You'd pay at least those prices in Pounds and Euros.
Obviously that's expensive in comparison with what you'd pay in the supermarket.
@Kirwan This has been the most disappointing thing for me this year.
Robertson's admirers sold him to us as a winner and an innovator.
I'm willing to give him some benefit of the doubt on the lack of winning this season. But I've see precious little innovation, just reheated Foz-ball.
It feels like we've gone from the most innovative side in Test Rugby in 2004-15 to the most predictable in 2024.

Hard disagree . He needs to be held to account the same as any other international coach. If Surf Jesus can't lead the ABs to win this game, he should be gone.

That might be good enough if he was coach of Scotland or Wales, but not good enough from the coach of the ABs.
@nostrildamus I like Cam Roigard, but the French have Antonie Dupont.
England and Ireland don't lose many at home at moment. Ireland are something like 16 or 17 games unbeaten at the Aviva.

I think we will probably lose at Twickenham and in Dublin or in Paris.
Time to realise we are the 4th or 5th best side as world and our players are no where near as well prepared for the battle of Test rugby as the players coming out of the major European club competitions.
