      Well there you have it, a big congrats to all the winners (not @RoninWC, clearly proving quantity over quality wins every time.)
      @Stargazer you can tell everyone you have something in common with Lisa Carrington and Samisoni Taukei'aho, you are all 2 time winners of a Fernie/Sportie....

      A big thanks to @Duluth for allowing this to happen again this year after a false start earlier in the year. Its been a tough year again for most of us here, the Fernies were an attempt to add some cheer and laughs, often at my expense.
      Happy the 2nd time round made it to the end even though it didnt go as originally planned.
      ..kinda hoping to bring back the glory days of past Fernies....there was at least one of you that was a fan...

      Anyway my small moment of power has come to an end, thanks again to @Duluth and the other Mods for humoring me and for their input...though i cant believe they actually made @MajorRage a mod.

      Congrats again to the winners (not @RoninWC )
      @MN5 maybe you need to double up on your double ups to have some chance of winning next year..

      Lets all hope 2022 will be a better year, a possible return to some sort normalcy.
      @Barchen
      A year of less pandemic shit, better times with work and family and where friendships can survive or maybe begin again..

      @NTA said in Lockdown Check In:

      The reason I'm really put out: it is the three year anniversary of starting my Long Service Leave. A month in which I did pretty much whatever the fuck I wanted, including a solo trip to NZ, and came home to a wife who was very happy to see me for the next week, if you know what I mean.

      Which leads me to my next point: the lockdown work-from-home sex count is a sum total of 1 over 6 months. Which is bullshit.

      Have our deepest sympathies.
      2020 has been tough for us all

      Except your wife. Sounds like it’s been pretty good for her

      That’s why we are here mate, to keep the contact going to help with our sanity. There’s members here who are in families struggling to keep the peace and keep kids from killing each other. Also members here who are on their own, let’s keep looking out for each other, keep the memes and jokes rolling in.

      Voting is due to close automatically in about 10 days but most likely will wrap it up before then.
      My last week at work for the year next week so would be the best time to wrap up this train wreck of a car crash…

      If you haven’t voted already then it’s probably because you don’t give a shit.

      @mariner4life said in Ashes 2021-22:

      a quick comparison, if you will indulge me

      Test match opening bat has been a problem child for NZ as long as any of us can remember, we have had a fair number of shit ones

      Marcus Harris currently averages 23.77

      That is good enough to land him at #25 in the list of NZ openers with at least 10 tests.

      The only names below him are How, Franklin, and Pocock.

      There are some very ordinary names ahead of him

      This is not a vintage Australian batting lineup.

      wait you figured out how to use statsguru over at cricinfo?

      @Virgil sort it, thanks love.

      Nominate it then, nominations close today.
      Ill be getting the voting under way later today so you better hurry

      Can you do it ? I have a bit of paperwork to do. Thanks mate.

      Nope that would be breaking the rules, the IOC, ICC, FIFA, RFU etc would look very harshly on me if i was seen to be favoring someone else's nomination. Especially as no bribes have been offered.
