evening 4 x 500m rows. first two just warmups, in 1:58 and 1:54. Next two were 500m PB attempts, but both ran out of gas after 250m at 1:28 and 1:26 rate (with different settings). Then just finished the rows easing home in 1:48 and 1:43. Amazing how quick the wheels fall off when you haven't been doing much 'pace rowing'!!<br />
<br />
Must work on this, my old PB for this distance from a few years back 1:28, so a target to hit...<br />
[/quote]<br />
Have you had another crack at 500m yet? <br />
<br />
I just managed to do a 1:39.5<br />
<br />
Given how much faster on all the other distances you are, I guess you should be able to do a low 1:30 without too much effort? But feel free to give up and concede I am better <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /> -
my PB from a few years ago is 1:28.6.<br />
<br />
haven't given it another nudge - should do so, and actually finish it, even when the wheels fall off at the end!! Might do it on the erg at the gym though, as that seems to give me more return for my pull <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /> -
Yeah I was conveniently overlooking your PB.. anyway shouldn't it be on season results? <br />
<br />
I was just enjoying having a better time than you on a distance. I suspect that might be very sort lived considering I can't even hit a 1:28 split let alone hold it. -
Well blow me down.<br />
<br />
New PB over 10,000 metres, rowing at the gym. 35:52.9 <br />
<br />
Crushed my old PB by 48 seconds <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /><br />
<br />
So that is why the weeks rowing muxt have been so sodding hard, was saving up for this!! -
Saturday morning<br />
<br />
5000Â 19:10.0<br />
<br />
20 minute sit up, press up, curl session, then<br />
<br />
5000Â 19:10.0<br />
<br />
so two rowsa exactly the same time, quite bizzare - not planned, as I was wathing MASH on DVD as I rowed. Incidently, you can get a 6k row in per episode of mash - they take about 24 minutes! -
lunch :Â 5000Â 18:32.0<br />
<br />
D-up PB's have been getting a bit of a knocking this year, have gone past old marks quite often - at the moment just tyring to get a base in of faster rowing, so when I give them a nudge again, I'll be able to knock them off again. Blew my 10k time out of the water (so to speak) by 41 seconds a week or so back. Anyway, PBs at the moment...<br />
