@Bones attacked!?! God the Robins we have are so friendly they will hop onto the seat next to you, we do feed them a lot to be fair, they are my absolute favourite, just beautiful.
Feed the birds and what do you get? Fat birds.

@Catogrande tread carefully!
You've gotta love a feeder! -

@Bones I have it on good authority they are hard to find...we must have a few in bushes out the back though.
Just leave them be anyway, you would deserve a good peck in the eye if you go sticking your nose in.Ummmm...ok sure...I'll stop sticking my nose in. Cos that's something I never said happened...
-
@R-L good reading skillz eh. I told a story where a nest was disturbed accidentally resulting in a robin attacking the person who disturbed it. You told a story about how your robins are friendly. I thought my next post was pretty clear that they wouldn't be if you disturbed the nest
Sigh.

All that. But they are also one of the most territorial and vicious of birds.
We get swallows. Have 2 nests under the decking most summers. Probably my favourite birds. Here's a baby one.

@Victor-Meldrew Chur...I think I broke it out after the world cup semi too...felt apt. Got some good ones of upside down parakeets and squirrels on the bird feeder too.

God I'm puerile sometimes
But bloody funny. ...
I even changed it from bush to scrub to try avoid that! Anyway she no longer trims the shrub after Robin stabbed her.

@Victor-Meldrew yeah we had one nesting in the vine on our garden wall when we moved in, didn't even know until it attacked the MILF while she was trimming a shrub in front of the nest. Piss funny.
We have a big elder just outside the bedroom window (ooh err) that it sits in and goes ballistic whenever the sensor spotlights across the road go off.
Sometimes it takes things too far.
Shameful!
