Hurricanes vs Highlanders

@Stargazer might aswell call him Kevin Durant. ๐
-
@Machpants and with Laumape playing out of his skin at 12 means it's even harder for Plum to move Jordie there. Laumape needs to step down for two games at some point so maybe Jordie will get a crack then..

@Bones here comes the Troll.
Say what? Can't you just go back to making statements about players that prove to be way off the mark? More fluffing of Laumape and Tiatia would be pretty good please.
-
@Canes4life now, before the game.

I would prefer a Goodhue (12) - Ennor (13) combo for 2020. The Crusaders have Havili in the mix as well and the likes of Punivai and McLeod emerging. So no need of Jordie Barrett in Chch. The Highlanders could offer him a good opportunity with Ben Smith leaving and no outstanding 2nd Five in their squad.
-
@cgrant I think T Umaga Jensen will lock that 12 jersey down for the Highlanders so there isn't really anywhere Jordie could go without having strong competition... oh wait the Blues are probably looking for someone post Nonu and SBW.

Yeah theyโve got one in Faiane.
Blues almost have as may 12s as the Highlanders have blindside flankers...

@SammyC Not sure how much you can read into that or the quotes in here -https://i.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/super-rugby/105510831/jordie-barrett-and-ardie-savea-recommit-to-hurricanes-and-nz-rugby
Jordie is loyal to the swirl. Plus doesn't Ennor want to be a centre aswell, meaning Goodhue may even move in a slot which will black Barrett anyway.
Goodhue is a natural 13, which is extremely rare... canโt see him moving to 12.
-
@SammyC you'd think if they were looking at him as a 12, he'd have had some time there at a level higher than NPC (where he has played 12 and looked good)
At this point in his career, he is a world class 13, leave him there.
-
@taniwharugby from an All Black perspective I agree, he looks more like a natural centre than 12.

Bucketing down in Wellington atm, looks like it's going to be a mud fight at the Tin tonight.
