19th Feb

Weight: 108kgs

Goal weight: 100kgs

Estimated time to achieve: 2 months

Plan of attack: Running (building up time each run) Squash, Tennis and eating healthier, plus if I find a club...pre season training, depending on work.

Have been slowly building up times and distances running, and as I hate running with a passion am quite happy how things are panning out. Once finished running and have bettered time from previous outing am stocked and feel great about the run....must admit it's getting easier to get out and do than when first started. Just like pre season training used to be, hated first few times, then got right into it and felt guilty if missed any sessions.

So...running when staying away from home. Squash a couple of nights a week with mates as well as a game of Tennis on the weekend. Cut down on drinking beer during the week and wine with dinner, heaps more water but drink about a litre or two during the day now....cut down on coffee and sugar.
Eat better, more fruit and veg.

    19th Feb

35min walk to supermarket for healthy food (willpower fading around bakery section but had to fight back and move to fruit area)

20min 34sec jog around Cornwall Park-aided by lycra clad chicks also running around park. Will go earlier tomorrow as darkness started to set in a ruined viewing.

Yes, that is a shit; head's up to Red Beard for posting the www.bodyforlife.com link which contained a good tip-- shop once a week on Sunday. That obviously means you've got time to plan healthy meals and aren't ducking into the temptation of the supermarket 4 times a week.

Again, a bloody obvious tip, but a habit I had fallen out of. I always used to shop on Sunday arvo in between lying on the couch watching the AFL and lying on the couch watching the feral league, but got out of the habit over summer.

and don't shop while you are hungry!! That always gets all the fatty foods into your shopping cart faster than you can say 'shag Pamela'. Also a shopping list helps no end... although having no shopping list ensures you cricle the isles of the supermarket ten times more than you should, which must mean you EARN that picnic bar... :coolsmiley:

    21st Feb

21min 12sec jog around Cornwall Park. Had no energy at all, probably due to low food intake for day which was muesli with fruit and yogurt, orange juice and coffee, fruit during the day, and lunch was 6 pieces of sushi. Total coffees-4 (which is bloody good considering visiting pubs and clubs that offer a coffee at every stop) Heaps of water.
Was hard catching up with workmates at lunch in food mall and them sitting down to macca's, chinese and curry's while I had what tasted like cardboard with rice in middle.

Will shower and walk to foodlands and check out something for dinner.

Todays exercise was probably one of the hardest due to no energy, running earlier in evening and hotter, am sweating like hell which has got to be good.

Walked 30mins down to supermarket.

Dinner is salad and chicken, olives, coldslaw and orange juice.

Water and fruit for snack

Been a mixture of a week. Have had crock guts, but still eating well. Haven't done any exercise except lifting pokie machines around Auckland for 14 hrs a day and been to bloody knackered when getting home.

Dosen't feel like I've lost anything, and been eating good food. No scales about, will check in when back in sunny HB.

OK...have been a tad busy last week or so with work and getting in late so haven't been able to keep up exercise. Have stuck to the good eating habits tho, and drinking a shed load of water.

On Sunday stayed over at mates place and was told by him and his wife I've lost weight, don't feel it. And found a set of scales in their bathroom...

Butt naked weighing in at 106kgs

Not really 2kgs lost as the 108kg figure was on a set of borrowed scales and was wearing tee shirt and shorts....but happy none the less.

OK...so far this week have been on target with eating.

Every morning for breakfast

Bowl of low fat muesli with fruit and yogurt, orange juice and coffee.

Lunch

Ham, tomato and lettuce sandwichs x 2
Apple, banana, pear

Dinner

Salad most nights with either chicken dish. Have had a couple of rich dishes which haven't been good, but not overly concerned as cut out junk food during days and mindfull of what I'm eating at nights not to be overly bad.

Tonight is roast pork with veges..cooked by mum, never ever turn down the old ladys cooking, does the best roast spuds in the world. Maybe a bad move, but fark it...it's free, it's bloody good and if I talk my way out of it I get out of the dishes as well.

Have not had too much booze, a couple of glasses of Red wine during the week with meals, and got given a bottle of bourbon so would be rude not to sample a few glasses.
