Cheating like a bastard for the back half of those pull up sets, but it needed doing.

I'm such a grumpy, negative bastard when I don't exercise regularly...
5 km run tonight in a tick over 26 minutes. First one in two weeks so going mainly on willpower as the legs were NOT happy. Got to try out my new five fingers socks though and there good for taking that bit if abrasion out of the surface contact.

Walked home the 0.86 km in another 8 minutes.
OK, so this weight loss cycle was practically a dud after a few social engagements and a general lack of willpower resulted in me back where I started a few weeks ago. Throw in the fucking rain we've had lately and its a very uncomfortable environment to try and get some km in on the road.

To rectify that, I'm starting another cycle right now, aiming for under 90kg. Need to reignite my passion for this stuff and get into the habit of fitness. Less time in the kitchen too.

So, today:

93.3kg, Chest 108, Waist 97, Hips 103.

Let's try again... indeed...

Ran 10.72 km in 57:45 tonight. Just couldn't push through to the hour due to abdominal cramps.

Set a 10km PB of 53:51 which was 51s better than my previous on a different route.

Blew out my five fingers in the process though. Bummer.
Cycled into work today: 7.82km in 23:34 (avg speed 19.9km/h). It was fucking cold, but I'm pretty sure it was at least 10C.

Cycled home from work: 12.45km in 29:08 (avg speed 25.6km/h). Jeez my bike legs are ordinary.

Not sure what to do about the running situation - its the best exercise for shredding weight in my case, but with the blown fivefingers featured above I might have to wear my kanga leather pair (not as good for concrete) and risk stinking them out while I order a new pair... after the fucking new credit cards arrive as I had to cancel the old one due to some fluffybunny flogging my details...

Oh yeah, I got home and while I was cooling down did 5 reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally slow pull ups, taking about 2 seconds up and 2 seconds down, chin over the bar, with a pause at the bottom.

They felt really good, so when I next try the 20 minute thing I think I'll do that. Will make my count look shitty but I promised myself that once I could crack 100 I'd improve technique. So I'll stick to that.

Rode into work: 13.56km in 42:11 - did a fair bit of fucking around in traffic.
Rode home: 12.72km in 29:26

5 slow pushups when I got home. And a feed of lamb chops, sour dough bread, and salad with olives. Yeeeeeeah.

The solution to winter seems to be leaving work at 3 o'clock and going home for exercise.

Sometimes this means riding in the freezing morning to get a decent ride in the afternoon, our like today, going for a run once I get home.

5 km in 27:10 - which is of course, awful. But I remind myself that I didn't really eat much around the middle of the day, and despite not being in the mood I bloody well ran anyway.

I'm also maintaining my sugar discipline really well this week, avoiding the sweet treats and unnecessary carbs pretty much the whole week.

Well except sour dough... But that shit is goooood
Oh and I do make up the time I'm not at work. Since the company went Google everything is easier. I'm in the transition phase for a lot of my system documents so I dump Word versions into Google Docs and then trim and clean at home.

But I apply the 2:1 ratio for home:work as far as time goes. After all, I'm a lot more efficient when there are no fuckers to bother me at my desk <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
Super slow pull ups tonight. From full hang, take about two seconds to get chin to bar level, then two seconds down. One second hang, repeat.

Tough! Grip is the hard bit over the 50mm pipe. Went for ten minutes

4, 4, 3, 3, 2
3, 2, 2, 2

Total 25. They are so much tougher than going flat out. More burn I suppose, especially on the descent.

Next time I might change to explode on the way up and resist only on the way down, with the hang at the bottom
doing slow with full hang over the WInter is a good idea-to do higher numbers you need to be able to hang there without any discomfort for as long as possible-the actual pull up isn't too hard, it's the fatigue from the supporting your weight. I can do 15 slow (not quite as slow as you) with more than 2 second hang.

Turns out I didn't end up drinking at the rugby. Mainly because they have crap available and I didn't get any sort of sit down meal.

Run today - 5.02 km in 26:09.

I always rug up too much in this weather. Must be feeling it more now I'm a skinnier version myself...
Think I have some sort of intestinal upset as I'm getting tired really quickly. Last time I felt like this, the chiropractor said it was gut related - not absorbing nutrients or some such, so I'm hitting the probiotics to clean it out
Bloated and weight out to 94 kg this morning. Not great feeling. Bit under a month to shed 4 kg then, and need the Chiro to work some of her magic on the intestinal issues.
Controlled the intake yesterday and did minimal exercise - was 92.7 this morning which is back towards normal. Legs are feeling better and I've scammed work from home for the next 4 Tuesdays, so I'm going for a run in the morning! Will do some body weight stuff tonight when I get home, but no squats or lunges!
