    Os du Randt  =  133kg<br />
    <br />
    Ollie le Roux = 135lg<br />
    <br />
    Both weights from Phil Kearns who was talking to Trevor Leota pre the Cheetahs v Waraths game.  Both a tad heavier than their official playing weights - Os listed at 125, and Kearns not mentioning Ollie.  But 128 rings a bell...

    The OX does look in pretty god nick though, but Le Roux is in serious strife.  Imagine what he will be like when he stops playing.Â

    Os needs to drop 7-8 kgs to be more effective - he looks slow and lethargic in games I've seen him play this season. Not like the extra weight makes him a better scrummager as he gets tired easily.<br />
    <br />
    Ollie is a worry though. He's shorter than Os and has the roundest head I've ever seen. I'm not sure his neck will be able to support the weight any longer and he'll be forced to rest his chins on his chest.

    Sounds like Mr Creosote in Monty Python's Meaning of Life. <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol:' />

    I recently saw a photo of OS wearing a skin tight All Balck jersey after a test macth (probably from last year) and I was surprised how lean he looked.  I read somewhere that hew was 12% bodyfat at the time, could that be true?

    I'd be shocked if it was, have concluded that those player weights and numbers are not to be trusted. I'll never forget Frank Bunce being listed as 82 kgs. <br />

    [/quote]I would say it was true. One of our props is basically in love with Os and was going on last year about how he (Os) was in such good shape, he did look it too.

    I went to Russia the week before Easter and got food poisoning (Susie has now become Suski) and lost 6 kgs. Basically I was like Mr Creosote for a couple of days. It wasn't much fun for me or the people around me but now I have a much smaller tummy.

    Not sure how old the footage was but I saw ex-basketball star Charles Barkley on tv the other day. My God he's become a fat farker. Not just fat but obese. Talk about letting yourself go.

    Barkley was fat even when he was playing though. <br />

    Heard Brett Papworth mention on ABC TV that former Wallaby star Willie Ofahengaue is now 140kgs  <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol:' />

    I thought Diego had since trimmed down following his 'bloatedness' and is now just a little fat ...

    Well yeah he had an operation where much of his large intestine was removed. Quite the rage apparently. He looks pretty good now.<br />

    If you want to look at things the other way i.e. atheletes that have lost weight since they retired, look no further than Dean Lukan. Aussie that won superheavyweight gold at the LA olympics. He looks above a third of his former size.
