Wouldn't you have James Parsons as number 1 Hooker? 😉

@shark Under your rules, we can probably have Tyrel Lomax and Shannon Frizell.

Jimmy Tupou is Chiefs/Counties. Taufua has links to the Counties side of Rainbows end. How long was he at the Auckland School?

@Stargazer I reckon someone like Riccitelli, who moved here as a four year old, should be eligible.

But not the kids from the Pacific Islands who came to school here on rugby scholarships.

Yeah birth is a weird way to judge. You could have a player born in Auckland and moved to Christchurch at age 3 and he’s being considered as a Blues catchment.

Growing up and high school should factor IMHO. (I haven’t checked thread rules just been following posters selections.

@mikedogz You're right about Tupou (born in Pukekohe); not about Taufua, who was born in Auckland

@Nepia Yeah, but if you do that, boundary lines become murky. What will be the cut-off age? Often info about the age at which players moved is hard to find. I just stuck with the clear boundaries. Less room for argument.

I just read @sharks rules and he doesn’t seem to cover this exact situation. Maybe we can get a ruling?

@shark Born in Auckland, moved to Chch As a child? Who are they qualified for? What about moves early high school with family?

Taufua went to Alfriston College before Sacred Heart so Chiefs and Blues can have equal Dibs.

There would be a few examples where players are born in "Auckland" but that also includes Auckland South of Rainbows End

@Nepia Like Pat Tuipulotu. Moved to Auckland from Chch when he was about 2-3 so does he qualify as someone from the Crusaders catchment?
