@Stargazer Tialata looked like a monster but played like a Teddy bear. For his size he should have dominated a lot more opponents than he did.

So one change for the Magpies, Sam McNicol out injured, Ili taking his starting spot. And Vaiusu coming in on the bench. Ben May returning from injury via the bench, unfortunately at the expense of Tim Farrell. I expected Waa to be dropped, but it seems May will play at LH.

Magpies head coach Mark Ozich said McNicol's ankle sprain collected in Sunday's win against the Manawatu Turbos is likely to keep him on the sideline for four to six weeks, if not sooner.

"While the injury isn't good news for Sam it isn't as serious as first thought. It's a high ankle sprain," Ozich said.

So 4 of our SR players still out: Mikaele-Tu'u, Lowe, Allardice and now McNicol again.

On some of Wellington selections it's good to see Aumua back at rake, he will add that much-needed firepower into that pack. Interesting that they selected Patafilo on the left wing, I would have moved Goosen to the left, Aso to the right, and selected one of Thomas or Billy in the centres to partner PUJ. Wellington in general are probably already in must win territory with Canterbury up next week. If they match the Bay upfront, I'm confident they will win this one.

Looks like our top of the table tipping match against Wellington will be over one way or the other after tomorrow nights game with an almost certain 100% of Bay tippers going for the good guys and 100% of the opposition going for the visiting Wellington team. I'm confident anyway.

There are only two games that really matter to me each season, Target one was ticked off last week and this is a good chance to tick off target number 2. C'mon The Bay. Still nil nil after two minutes . Wellington obviously playing above themselves!

What a beautiful sight, a bunch of country bumpkins outmuscling a bunch of gym bunny city slickers for a magnificent lineout drive try HB 5 - 00 Wellington

Ah poop, a Wellington scrum in serious reverse gear still sees a try to their No 8.

And then worse a miraculous miss when a Bay play drops the ball over the line and from the resulting scrum Wellington score a 95 metre try, albeit with a pass that looked slightly forward to this one eyed HB 05 -12 Wellington after 20 minutes
