Also strange to see the Scottish Waikato lock/loosie, Hamilton Burr, in the squad. Can't remember him from the Mitre 10 Cup; did he get much game time?
Burr started at 6 for the first part of the M10, scoring a try on debut vs Canterbury, and was usually in the 23.
@mikey07 The surname Crowley might be a hint to his origins. He is a decent halfback who played for Southland last year and was in the Canterbury system while at uni.

- Kobus Van Wyk
Particularly when he has been signed as a midfield back.

Who is Logan Crowley, Caleb Delaney and Josh Southall and Brendon Lose
Logan Crowley - a halfback, most recently playing for Southland (made his debut for Taranaki in 2017; has also been part of the Canterbury development squad, but never played Mitre 10 Cup for them)
Josh Southall - Wellington academy player; former St Pat's Silverstream openside flanker
Caleb Delaney - Waimea College product; has been in the Wellington Academy and played for Wellington U19 in 2019. Plays at lock.
Brayden Iose - Manawatu loosie; has been in the Hurricanes frame for a while (Hurricanes U20s/Dev).

No idea, but I'm willing to bet none of them are from Hawkes Bay.
Worse still, Iose is from the Poo.

I think the last named is supposed to be Brayden Iose, the Number 8 from The 'Poo. He has got the wraps on him from his schoolboy days where he captained the NZ Secondary Schools team. Been on the Hurricanes radar since preseason 2017

@Stargazer Ah Caleb Delany, think he came up in discussions earlier on. Anyway he played twelve premier grade games for his club in Wgtn, eight at blindside and four at lock. As if the Canes need yet another lock/blindside?
-
@Stargazer he needs to move franchise. Obviously th Canes and him aren’t meant to be.
-
@mikey07 Yeah. He made a nice break, got tackled hard and you could see from his body language that something was wrong. Later you saw him grabbing his arm with his other hand. Then he was replaced by Ben Lam.
So I assume a wrist, arm or shoulder injury. Hopefully, it's not too bad.
-
Haven’t seen the game. Did anyone play well at all?
