Cooper Flanders has scored for Hastings. It's now 34 - 0.

Napier getting f*cked over by the ref. Scrum close to Napier's try line ...

Preston Whatarau (?) scores for Hastings. Never heard of him before; I think he's an outside back. Google tells me he was still playing U15s in 2020.

    Hastings lead 41 - 0.

Not sure who this local commentator is (his voice sounds familiar), but he's too much! 😹

Another try to Hastings, this time it's winger Josiah Sakaria. Sometimes I think the commentator is just guessing who's scoring, so not sure whether all the names are correct.

    Hastings leads 46 - 0.

And just when I type that, they score again. It's a monster score. 9 tries.

    It's now 53 - 0.

It looks like one of Napier's big boys has scored. Well-deserved! Again, the person from sideline live gives the points to Tauranga. It's hilarious.

    Napier now leads 13 - 6.

The score I gave earlier for St John's Hastings was apprently the half time score. It's getting worse!

Dammit. Tauranga score close to the post. Haha, and now they give the points to Napier.

    It's 13 all.

So all our top 4 schools play at home; do we have enough refs? It wouldn't surprise me if there will be refs from the surrounding provinces lending a hand.

Napier hot on attack; close to scoring and Hamilton infringing, finally losing a man to the bin.

Rotorua dominating in the other game.

    No scores, yet.

Napier unlucky. Hamilton's centre intercepts and scores the first try. Completely against the run of play.

    0 - 7 Hamilton

The stream in Hastings isn't very good. During the buffering, Hastings must have scored an unconverted try, but now they're back at the other end of the field.

    5 - 3 Hastings

Wow, blatant foul play by a Hamilton player, not spotted by the ref (who constantly has his back to where he should be watching). Afa Moleli the victim.

    Play continues.

Moleli has his revenge. After a great break, his run ends just before the Hamilton try line, and one of his team mates goes over.

    7 - 10 Hamilton.

In the other game, it's still 5 - 3 to Hastings.

Damn, good try to Rototua's no. 14. Some glitches in Hastings' defence.

    5 - 10 Rotorua

Hastings have scored a penalty goal.

    8 - 10 to Rotorua

It's half time in the other game:

    Napier 7 - 10 Hamilton

Just before half time, Rotorua are lucky to get away with just a penalty and a warning.

Hastings score a penalty goal and it's half time:

    Hastings 11 - 10 Rotorua
