My suspicion that Lindisfarne only has a team for one good half is being confirmed.

They're now trailing 7 - 26 to Feilding.

Hastings could have kicked for goal to make the gap bigger than 6 points, but they go for the line-out.

Fulltime! A good, well-deserved win to Hastings. Although it has to be said that it was again mostly handling errors letting Napier down. If they'd fixed that, it would have been a lot closer.

The downside of having two Bay teams in Super 8 is that once one of them beats the other, it helps Hamilton on the competition table. Esp with Hastings already having suffered one loss, it would have been better for us as a region if Napier had won.

Now, they basically are still in with a shot, but both have to beat Hamilton to be able to finish top of the table and get a home Super 8 final.

Woohoo. Annoyingly I couldn’t watch this one, so as ever thanks for the updates.

Good win for the plucky underdogs over the Crusaders of the Bay.

I assume the conditions were better than what Hastings had to deal with last weekend?
