Very short write-up on the Club Rugby website:

In the second match at Rugby League Park, the Hurricanes Hunters As and the Blues As drew 33-33.

The Hunters bounced back from their 47-14 loss to their Cusaders teammates last week with a much more assured performance.

Scoring was tit-for-tat throughout, but when right wing Dan Sinkinson injected himself into the backline following a penalty and lineout drive in the corner to score on the far side the Hurricanes led 19-12 at halftime.

The Blues replied with a try to halfback Lisati Milo-Harris to make it 19-19, Hurricanes fullback Ezra Malo scored next to put his side ahead 26-19, the Blues replied off a lineout to hooker Soane Vikena to see it go to 26-26, hometown No. 8 Sione Halililo scored off a scrum to see the Hurricanes go 33-26 up, while the Blues scored the equaliser through replacement Tamaru McGahan with just a couple of minutes to play.

There was high drama on fulltime, with the Blues breaking out through second five and first half try-scorer Corey Evans. He fed his outside support runner with the tryline beckoning but the pass was dropped and the Hurricanes held on for a draw.

Aumua, 25, re-signed with New Zealand Rugby through to the end of 2025. Hope he makes the RWC squad. But if he does it would be at Coles expense most likely except for injuries

@Stargazer I rrally pleased he resigned, I have been an unabashed fan since I first saw him when he came back, mainly because I saw how straight his back in when scrummaging. I still look to that in props as I truly believe that's haw you get the best power from your second row coming through where it counts.

Article on Cameron and Roigard. Need more games for Cameron to talk about a future AB. But Roigard for sure. Looks very impressive and improving week by week. Someone claimed his defense needs to improve. I'm unsure about this but hopefully both front up in this area.

He's already capped as an AB. Ironically a far better player now than back then.

I know, But every post I read about him said he was not up to much. And I had yet to see him play (But so far very impressed)

Hes not the tallest player or biggest player but should cope at this level. Will watch closely to see what his defense is like but haven't seen any bad misses yet. Hope he's not like Gopperth that use to wave players through. Morgan is smaller but defends well.

Cameron is fearless, as far as tackling is concerned. He could not stop Nadolo but threw himself in the latter's huge legs as if his life depended on it.

Have to say I agree Cameron seems a better player than I remembered, not suggesting an AB, but certainly seems capable at this level.

If he is 171cm tall then DMac towers over him by 6cm (reputedly).

THE VERSATILE and upbeat Damian McKenzie made his All Blacks debut against Argentina in 2016 as a 21 year-old.

    @nostrildamus

I've seen two heights for him

    1.71 and 1.75. 1.71 seems a bit short.

@Winger He is product of the Canterbury system, been in Japan for a few years. What is his kicking game like?

Line kicking is very good so far. Someone mentioned he's a vg goal kicker but Barrett is doing this.

Brad Shields could be making a return to the Hurricanes, please let it be inplace of Reed Prinsep. Hopefully he's sorted out his handling because he could add a much needed physical edge at blindside, and it will allow Flanders to move back to his natural position of number 8.

With Ardie not playing for the Canes in 2024 it will be a major experience boost for the Canes, especially in the loosies.

Yep he apparently had a bit of a run with an AFL team too, nothing really unusual in this as players tend to like something different, and a lot of codes ,the players are follow each other etc in whatever people follow each other on with the interent!

I think Reed Prinsep is, so hopefully he heads to Japan or somewhere that isn’t Wellington. Ardie is on sabbatical next year so he might also come in for him.
