Uruguay is not a core nation. Playing surprisingly well, considering.

Second half was better. 28 - 7 to the AB7s at full time.

The new kid - Ngarohi McGarvey Black - is looking promising.

Was it a 2nd string Nz side put out for the game?

Is McGarvey black a speedy player? I know nothing about him so any info would be appreciated

@bovidae Joe Webber was the player from the list, who didn't play the first game. So either he's injured, or he's the reserve.

This was the starting line-up according to the WR Sevens website:
    Dickson
    Mikkelson
    Curry
    Koroi
    Nanai-Seturo
    Ware
    Molia

    Reserves:
    Joass
    Knewstubb
    Ravouvou
    Collier
    McGarvey Black

@family-man Haven't seen him at full speed yet, and he came on late, but his most notable action was a great grubber kick, which was picked up by Ravouvou to score a try. The try was disallowed because it was preceeded by a late tackle on one of the opponents, but the newbie did well in that passage of play.

Am watching a few games on a free live stream at the moment and notice that there are no sideline flags on the goal line and dead ball lines. This must be a very big black mark being added to the score sheets the white coated clip board holding assessors guard with such jealousy.

I gather you don't follow 7s . Senatla, Kwagga Smith, Tim Agaba, Notshe, Jason Geduld, Ruhan Nel, Rosko Speckman are not playing today, but played last 2 tournaments.

Can also add in Chris Dry, 1st choice 7s player who started art the start of the season and is our forward with most tournaments, but is out for the year.

That is our whole All Star team gone.

Another disappointing first half from the AB7s. As we already know, they lack speed. Sloppy play.
Hoping for a better 2nd half.

There was a clear knock-on from the Argies in the passage of play that lead to their try, but the ref ruled otherwise.

    Argentina great win.

The Jags should sign their skills coach - their catch and pass is way better than Jaguares.

NZ lose 26 - 19 to the Argies. Deserved win from Argentina, that has been improving steadily since last season.
The AB7s MUST now beat Scotland tomorrow morning, or they won't make the Cup QF. Not an easy task, as Scotland is also on the rise.

@family-man looked to have good toe, but maybe not super top end. Reminded me of DMac.
