I once played a game of twilight cricket against an adults team with Gary Knight in it. I would have been 15 or 16, keeping wicket. He was batting, facing a spinner. Cant remember what happened exactly, but I think he played at one and missed or something. I said something that he didn't particularly like and he turned and gave me this fucking look that made me almost piss and shit myself at the same time. Next delivery I was in my keeping stance about as deep as I would have been to Malcolm Marshall.

He was a super heavyweight Commonwealth Games wrestler and, if I have the legend correct, got his nickname by lifting his tractor so others could take the axle off.

My old man grew up in PN and that whole side of the family are there. Used to spend school holidays as punishment in that cold grey shit hole but the good bit was that it was when both the Poo and CM were top contenders and I got to go to games. My grandfather was a massive supporter and used to follow all the school teams to keep track on upcoming players. He had a huge collection of programmes and autographs which were donated to the Rugby Museum when he died.

Thats awesome. Took my kids to the RM last time I was there. Smaller than I remembered, but some cool stuff there.
