Clearly not jersey numbers.
-
@Stargazer Oh, look who is listed as the coach.
-
Hurricanes (as far as I recognise them):
2 Raymond Tuputupu, 4 Tom Allen, 5. Hunter Morrison, 6. Dominic Ropeti, 7. Tino Savea, 8. Toby Crosby, 9. Jordi Viljoen, 10. Harry Godfrey, 11. Sam Coles, 12. Jack O'Brien?, 13. Epeli Waqaicece, 14. Bethel Malasia, 15. Chicago Doyle
I'll add names as I see them.
Cooper Flanders strangely enough not starting. I hope he's not injured.

Moonboot on.
Crosby is the no.8.
-
@Bovidae F*ck. It probably won't affect his NZ U20s selection, but still so disappointing!
-
So that "midget" in the 27 jersey is Malakai Hala-Ngatai? Solid built lad.
-
What’s the score in this one?
-
@Canes4life HT: Hurricanes U20 19 - 7 Moana Pasifika U20
-
Awesome break and pass from Godfrey, and Crosby is in again.
MP showing flashes of good play, but Hurricanes much stronger.
-
I loved that Malasia - Savea combo, but Savea did knock on and that try shouldn't have been awarded.
-
Drua and MP aren't getting any love from the refs.
-
Blatant high tackle by the MP 13. Not spotted, a scuffle, and another MP player is sent to the bin. IMO, it should have been the 13.
-
Ah, I only looked at FB and Twitter. The Canes only posted it on instagram.
-
-
Great try to MP, but poor defensive effort from Canes.
-
Commentator: "MP are closing the gap, but the Hurricanes will still win the game."
Closing the gap? It's 50 to 19.

The MP no.16 can kick too.
-
I've seen too many arms around heads and necks in this game, especially from MP. Terrible officiating; that stuff should be penalised.
-
Sam Howling really is a terrible halfback.
-
FT: Hurricanes U20 64 - 19 Moana Pasifika U20

Was it a game worth watching?
Who were the standouts for the Canes?
-
@Canes4life Sorry, I only saw bits and pieces of the game. From what I saw, it looked a pretty entertaining game. Because I only saw parts of the game, I concentrated on the players I know, and particularly Savea and Malasia were pretty good. Tuputupu also looking strong and Godfrey had some very nice touches. Epeli Waqa (sp) looking strong in the midfield. Unfortunately, Cooper Flanders is injured, so we won't get to see him play, this tournament.
