Black Ferns legend Portia Woodman-Wickliffe has today announced she will step out of international retirement with her sights set on a third Rugby World Cup campaign.

Black Ferns selectors have invited 49 players to attend the first Black Ferns training camp for 2025 held at NZCIS, Wellington between April 27-30 in the lead up to the Pacific Four Series (PAC4)
That's a strong lineup for the training camp. Looks like a better squad than that which went to the UK.
Will be very interesting to see who they pick in the initial squad as I've got tickets to watch them play Aus in Newcastle on May 11, can't wait!

A couple of non-selections too, which are justified (e.g., Pip Love).
Agreed, also ommitted from the camp is a personal favourite but someone that hasn't performed to her best since the last world cup final, Joanah Ngan-Woo.
She was coming back from injury but sadly could not earn a start in a side that was the worst performing team in Aupiki.
