Fatbusting: MvJ's log (a blob's blog)
-
Could you believe 19.09? MvJ certainly couldn't. Am absolutely fucked, but even managed to take the stairs up to my apartment afterwards.

After the push-up session a couple of nights ago I could barely lift my hands above my head to shampoo the melon this morning <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

So that's a good day; 30 minutes on the exercycle, power walk to work, walk at lunchtime to get lunch off my chest, power walk home and a gutbusting run. The run time is more pleasing still because I didn't do all the other stuff I did today when I ran yesterday's time.

Tomorrow I'm off to referees' fitness which will consist of about 40 thin, private school rah-rah foppie twats sprinting three-quarter pace around an Aussie Rules field, followed by a fat fluffybunny letting out a tourettes-style stream of swear words.

(I am that fat fluffybunny.) -

Good man. Go get yourself a lap dance as a reward. You live in the right part of town let's face it <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> -
Your suggestion has been noted.
-
Cheers. Without the grog I am sleeping like a lamb <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Right. gave it the full whack again today. Ran to work rather than the power walk (10 minutes to the end of the domain from MvJ's place, but up and down Woolloomooloo Bay).

Then to rugby training, where I cranked 9.1 on the beep test nearly bringing on cadiac arrest. This was followed by the see how many press-ups you can do in a minute test. MvJ managed three <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> The 39 sit-ups which followed that are going to hurt tomorrow.

I did however walk home from Aussie Stadium, which was a good 45 minutes. Already MvJ is hurting in four or five separate areas of his body. Tommorrow will be interesting... -

<img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> Yeah I have a similar problem - muscle mass not proportional to body weight. What I do is when I'm going for a run and feel the need to stop and walk, I do pushups on a low fence or railing if one is available, or on an incline if no fence or railing presents itself. It teaches your body 1 of 2 things:

- If it wishes to avoid the torture of pushups, it must keep running
OR
- If it wishe to avoid the torture of running, it must do pushups

Either way its all good.

Average day today, or rather average to poor. Couldn't be fucked running tonight, and waddled to work and back at a slow pace. However did manage 30 minutes on the treddley before work.

Tomorrow, I would be stoked with getting up and going for a run but more likely will be on the bike again before work. Then was going to go to the pub and not drink, but have now decided against that theory... I'm going to beat your 13 days Kirwan, but I'm going to have to pick the timeslot very carefully <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> -
The going to the pub and not drinking doesn't work, having tried it <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

When (if?) you beat the 13 days, I'll go off it again for a long stretch and beat your achievement by one day to give you a new target. Deal? -
Deal. It is going to kill one of us

So far my record is 5 nights (twice). I never thought I would curse the weekend! Your're right about going to the pub and not drinking of course. Fat chance MvJ would have... -
Friday, an abomination with no exercise whatsoever. Today, bad, but did walk the 40 minutes to Aussie Stadium, and back, to do a referees course thingie. Might hit the treddley before hitting the pub again.
-
Failed to hit the bike, failed to go for a run. Did manage to do the Bondi-Coogee walk thing, and then home from the bus-stop. Not exactly a fat-burning day, but hopefully it mitigated the fish and chips and other fried crap, to say nothing of the beers.
-
If anyone is wondering why I am cranky it is because I could not sleep last night and was obliged to remedy this by hitting the bottle. Unfortunately I over-corrected.

My secretary woke me up with a 10am telephone call, and the pounding in MvJ's head meant a day off work.

The early morning exercycle session went out the window and I slept until 3pm. The run tonight is similarly off the menu. -
Miller, being the self-appointed moderator of this entire fat-busting section, you have a responsibility to all of us to continue to work hard and often on your weight-loss and fitness goals. But most importantly, you have a responsibility to yourself.

Maybe it would be the appropriate time to feed you a few of your own well-chosen words when it looked like Voltman was wobbling off the fitness bike....
Voltman, you lazy fat prick, pull your hands out of your date, wash them thoroughly, and go and lift some fucking weights. You are a fat prick living in Oamaru for Christ's sake. If someone had told you that would be your lot at birth, you would have thrown yourself head-first out of the pram. Or you should have.
At least you can do something about the weight. And have a fucking shave whilst you are at it. Jesus, you look like Hairy Fucking Maclary.
You have become the first poster to earn my wrath as a Moderator, but there is time to redeem yourself. Cook me some eggs and get yourself a salad sandwich while you are at it. Before I get really angry. And then go for a run.
I am about to power-walk home, then go for a run before eating a nice little bit of kangaroo for dinner. After my dinner I expect to log on to the Fern and find out what you have done, or intend to do, to correct your failings.
Once we have got you back on the straight and narrow (there will be no need to thank me), MvJ will be rectifying Crusader "I'll-start-fatbusting-once-I've-smoked-myself-half-to-death" Corey. And then the sparks will fly.
Jesus... for some people it's the carrot, others the stick.
-
Noted. MvJ will be going for a run tonight, and to fitness training tomorrow with the Referees. Couldn't do the bike last night as again I couldn't fucking sleep, and didn't have any grog in the house to remedy the situation.

The Results-- Week 3 thread has been cancelled due to my failing to get around to it. However the Week 4 thread will be a ripper, and timely, and we all now have a couple of days to fat-bust for that milestone. MvJ is aiming to dip below the 80kg mark at the 4-week point (remember I started at 81.8kg). If I could keep that up, 2 kgs a month for another few months, I would be well pleased.

Thanks for dragging me back on course lads. I think I have to steady with the diet and exercise programmes before going the no-grog on weekends thing. By cutting it out on weeknights, generally, I have still made a significant reduction, which is a start. -
Noted? You'll do more than just fucking 'note' it Emma! Get rid of that insideous slovenly attitude immediately, and grab the demon by the horns. I can't see why not being able to sleep would preclude you from being to do a bike session? It's not good enough MvJ, and you of all people should know this. If you don't feel like doing a bike session, go and do a beep test instead.....that way you are pushing yourself physically and mentally by operating out the comfort zone.

If you are in fact back on course, as you dubiously claim, then disregard the above rant. -
You bastards! I came home tonight and went for a run and, yet again, cranked a PB-- 17.37, which is over 2.5 minutes quicker that the last time. MvJ was flying; somehow started off flat out (always a crazy thing to do, particuarly when the first bit is uphill) and kept it up. Even kept going through the stitch which I never do.

The constant PBs underline just how slowly I was going the first time I did it <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

And there's room for improvement because the only bit I slowed down for was the downhill coast home as I was absolutely rooted. Managed to take the stairs to my apartment though.

I feel I wil sleep well tonight.

Oddly, I really felt the stamina was there like it certainly hadn't been previously. The only thing I can put it down to is the walks I did over the weekend- 2 x 45 minutes, and 1 x an hour and a bit. It must be doing something.

Probably the best news is that I have referee fitness training tomorrow, so that's tomorrow's evening workout planned and I'll walk home from that. Now all I need to do is get on the bike tomorrow morning... -
well done MvJ..... You should be very proud of yourself, as I've no doubt you are. <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
