You bastards! I came home tonight and ............<br />

<br />
Tourettes or what.<br />
Milly.Keep it up hun'.Out of ten how are you feeling (compared to before)? Have you gained a sense of well-being and inner balance yet? -
Thanks guys and girl,<br />
<br />
Yeah, I feel absolutely terrific RL. Still quite grumpy, but physically awesome. By the time the season proper begins I'll be absolutely flying. <br />
<br />
NTA's point about a couple of days off is well made. I'm nominating those as Friday night, Saturday and Sunday (although I'll do a bike on the Friday morning and a long walk on each of the other two days). That allows for some rugby watching and general relaxing. Sunday afternoon, particularly, I am going to do absolutely nothing. I went out for dinner last Sunday night and it royally fucked up this week. I need some downtime, to be spent lying on the couch watching the feral league. <br />
<br />
And I managed a good session on the bike this morning before work. -

Never with you RL, never with you... :love10: -
Back to reality, rugby training tonight consisted of 20 x 200 metre sprints and 20 x 100 metre sprints, interspersed with sit ups, burpees and push ups (or in my case, mainly lying on the ground panting). <br />
<br />
Anyway I got through the runs, albeit as the slowest, fattest person present. That's a total of 6km all at full tit. And I walked the 4km+ home. Madness. If I don't weigh in under 78.8kg on Sunday's 4-week weigh in, I'll give it away... -

That does sound painful.<br />

You'll do no such fucking thing. Given you're taking the weekend off your chances of not stocking back up on alcohol and fried food are fuck all. You stick with it Emma or I'll ride my bike to Potts Point and get some exercise kicking your arse! Try weighing yourself Friday morning and then check again Sunday and see the difference <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> -

I'm panting at the thought of all those sprints. Good work.<br />
<br />
Peaks and Troughs MvJ, Peaks and Troughs. You would never give in when peaking so you can't give in when you hit a bit of a trough. Put yourself on the stand and give yourself a grilling if you ever feel like giving up -
Sorry, when I said "I'll give it away" for once Emma was not being the Fern's resident drama Queen, she was attempting to use an Aussie expression (which she clearly hasn't mastered). I'll give it away, meaning it's a certainty. <br />
<br />
Examples:<br />
<br />
"If Ian Thorpe isn't gay, I'll give it away."<br />
Or Tony Greig saying "If New South Wales lose this game, I'll give it away." Unfortunately he doesn't give it away, but I think the meaning is clear enough... <br />
<br />
MvJ will certainly not be giving anything away, having come this far. I am now going to have a shower and go to bed, looking forward to seeing whether I am able to get up unassisted tomorrow morning. <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> If not I will have to text the boss's hot PA to ask her to come around, get me up and into the shower. <br />
<br />
MvJ is going to a course on sexual harrassment in the legal profession tomorrow, quite by co-incidence. -
that is some very solid sprint training Miller. Great work!<br />
<br />
You'd be amazed at how much more you can get out of sprint training just by putting as much as you possibly can into each run through, rather than cruising at 80%. Also, it's highly beneficial to make sure you push all the way through past the finishing line, rather than pulling up just before it. I know, it's all too easy to pull up short when you're completely fucked, but try to be true to yourself. <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> -
MvJ pulled up short :happy:<br />
<br />
My legs are effing killing me this morning though, but I did manage some press-ups and crunches (ouch!) before jogging (most of the way) to work. -
Is that possible :nta

I know this will sound stupid and boorish and blokish... but... rooting really does help. I make sure i give the Mrs roughly 3 a day and hold onto 83kg with an alcohol intake of 8 500ml cans a day and the occasional binge. I usually make it to the gym twice a week for two hour sessions and play a couple of rugby games a month. <br />
<br />
Follow this regimen and maybe you too can become a small god -
Thanks, I'll bear that in mind.

Why the fuck did you bother to include the rugby and gym? The rooting 3 times a day and beer drinking was god-like enough for me. I can't remember last time I had it three times in a MONTH much less a week or day <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> -
Back on a topic I know something about-- MvJ has been for a run tonight, his last one of the week. Am happy with my time of 19.30, even though it's well outside PB. My legs were absolutely fucked the whole way around (no doubt from last night) but I did keep going, even though the desire to stop was large and the will to live rather small.

Friday consisted of a short jog to work, followed by 1,000 beers in front of the rugby. Today I have been on a rugby course from 8.30am-5.15pm, with the same scheduled tomorrow. I did walk off the hangover with the brisk 45 minute walk to and from Aussie Stadium. I am now going to the pub to get smashed. Fingers crossed for the below 79.8kg weigh-in tomorrow. Was 78.9 before dinner tonight!Â
