@rembrandt The Americans is 6 seasons, be a long flight to get through all that
But consistently good value, didnt have a drop off like some shows do.

Last night watched the first episode of the reboot of Lost in Space. Surprisingly good - high production values, decent story with even a bit of a twist at the end of the first episode. Hopefully doesn't fall down the hole of too much "kids in peril" plotlines over the rest of the series.

About to watch the season finale of Westworld. I've cleared my brain of all superfluous shit in readiness of hopefully understanding it.
Yet your still functional?

@mn5 I expect the writers will be relieved!
You have to admit, it's done in two seasons what TWD took about seven to achieve.

Just started into Season 4 of 'The Affair'
It's going to be a brilliant, tough watch methinks

@nepia I finished The Americans last night.
I thought it was a pretty good final episode, tying up enough loose ends, but leaving the door open just enough for them to ressurect it if they feel the need, maybe even following Paige as you get the feeling she was enjoying the life a bit like Elizabeth.
Very good show though, consistently good.
:::
Thought it was a good transition with the tension early on while Stan was on thier trail into the more sombre mood with the music overlays as we neared the end and Phillip & Elizabeth realized they had lost both kids.
Obviously be nice to have known if Stans Missus was an agent, I guess he doesnt want to know cos it makes him seem an even bigger fool having lived across the road from agents and now his Missus...

Hmm, I never got the feeling they left things open for a resurrection.

I think that the moment Paige got off the train she had made a decision that she was done with that life and was happy to live the rest of her days as an American.
I think it was a pretty good ending. The show was never typical, so not having a big final shootout fits for me.
I really wanted Elizabeth to go down, she's like a female version of the Breaking Bad guy whose name I can't remember, she's actually a really bad apple and I didn't want her to make it out.
For Phillip I think that at least in a few years time, with the ending of the Soviet Union, he'll be able to try and re-establish his connection with Henry.
Oh, I think we definitely know that Stan's missus is an agent from that final shot of her looking at the Jennings house. Actually a Stan Beamish show could be a spin off, him and his mate investigating a case(s) over 10 episodes.

The Americans and Halt and Catch Fire are two largely unheralded shows that sit in the top bracket of TV dramas for me.
Glad The Americans didn't actually finish two seasons ago when I thought they had!
