@taniwharugby There are so many streaming services now.
Disney+ will be available in NZ from next week and will be very popular because of the Marvel and Star Wars content, not to mention Pixar movies and National Geographic documentaries. I want to watch The Mandalorian but only 2 episodes will be available at launch and will be released weekly after that. Therefore, best to wait until after Xmas to be able to the whole season.

@Bones S2 is considered better than S1 and has a dramatic and unexpected ending. S3 continues to answer more questions about the alternative realities but is more about the character development of John Smith. There is a big reveal in the final episode which I assume becomes important in the final season.
The sets are really impressive in this show so Amazon must have thrown plenty of $$$ at it.

The Alienist - very disappointing. Had the makings of a great show but the writing got increasingly lazy and the plot non-sensical. Stuck it out till the end as I was curious how it will turn out but wish I'd put that time into something useful like sleeping.

Watched an episode of 'See' which is an Apple TV production.
Starring Jason Momoa, set in a time where a virus has swept the world and those who survived are now blind, this has been the way now for 300 years...but twin babies have been born who are able to see...
Not only an odd story, there was a bizaare Prayer/masturbation scene by the 'Queen' as well.
Am only contemplating watching another couple as I'd be keen to find out what the storyline is and worth persevering...have to assume it will get better? But not sure I want to pay for that!!

When They See Us: Netflix show about the Central Park 5, a group of black and hispanic teens convicted of rape and attempted murder in the 1980s.
This is great TV, 4 episodes of varying left, the first takes a while to get into but then it gets going and it's hard to stop bingeing.
Reminds me of a David Simon style show (The Wire, The Corner, Show Me A Hero, The Deuce etc).
This and Chernobyl might be the best TV I've seen this year.

I really enjoyed the first couple of seasons of Animal Kingdom, but not so much the later ones although it's still very watchable.
I've had When They See Us in my netflix list for ages and just hadn't got round to watching it and two people recommended I watch it ASAP.

I signed up to Amazon Prime Video last night. A week free and then $2.99/month for up to 6 months - cheap.
I started S4 of The Man in the High Castle and will watch The Boys and Jack Ryan before The Expanse starts. I haven't had a good look at what other shows are available but that is enough at this stage.
