A friend of mine let my daughter and hers watch YouTube one day (as that's what he daughter does constantly) and then litteraly every day for week after my child wanted to watch these barbie dolls acting out play with American accents
My daughter loves that shit. To her credit she spends a lot of time playing with her dolls as well, and speaking in the obligatory american accent while she is doing it

Funny how kids go through viewing phases. My son and daughter used to love unwrapping videos where other kids or weird adults would unwrap 50 kinder surprises or something. It was total toy porn. Then he liked watching nerf gun battles kids v adults, now he is into watching guys playing fortnite and commentating themselves. He has moved into watching non cartoon Nickelodeon shows too which sometimes is okay because the chicks can be easy on the eye

Modern parenting baffles me.
You can actually control what your kids do. No way would I have put up with listening to endless kids songs while travelling in the car, let alone throwing them an iPad to keep themselves entertained.
Back in my day.........

Yea there is some absolute shit on YouTube...one my daughter watches sometimes is these 4 aussie kids, 3 girls and a boy, they play games but it's the shouting and annoying twang of the loudest one that does my head in.
TR jnr watches stuff about modifying cars...given his first car is gonna be our Suzuki Swift if we still have it, he is wasting his time 🤣

@taniwharugby you talking about the Norris Nuts by any chance?
-
@taniwharugby Uh huh. My 3 kids all watch them. They're actually 4 girls and a boy, and they have another kid on the way. Dad is an ex-Olympic swimmer.
And they make......
Wait for it..........
$4m p.a.!!!!!!!

@taniwharugby yeah the lad has some seriously rosy lips! I don't watch myself but it's a constant for all of my kids right now (so I get all the news) which is one positive I guess, less fighting!

And clear your browser history
That garbage is the least of my worries in my browser history. I didn't click on the link that was the first thing that came up. The middle one is quite terrifying.

Well this thread has gone slightly off topic.
Hmm, so I watched The Irishman and I liked it. I also felt the same as some critics out there in that after a few scenes I mostly forgot about the de-aging. At least until I got to the scene where they made the dude from The Wire an old man ... that was just strange.
It was probably too long, but I thought the performances were pretty good, although they should have used a younger body for De Niro, especially in the stomping scene everyone is rightfully taking the piss out of. Pesci and Pacino were great and De Niro was good despite having the worst of the de-aging effects.
A much better movie than Silence (bonus points for not having Andrew Garfield in it) of Scorcese's recent output.

Andrew Garfield irritates me but not as much as Eddie Redmayne who has an immensely punchable face imho .

Personally, Garfield is worse for me, at least Redmayne usually plays weird dudes which kind of suits his face ... Hollywood seems to think Garfield is a leading man.
