Noddy does Wesley Weight Management
-
wahooo, reached my target this week. Wanted to get below 110kg so was aiming for a 2kg loss.<br />
<br />
Lost 2.3kg to be down to 109.6<br />
<br />
45 minute brisk walks except for Thursday and Saturday. Had a casual wander through the streets of Byron on Saturday though. Thursday was tough as I was in Melbourne for work all day and had to forgo the regular corporate lunch of steak sandwich and chips for a plate of lettuce (ok it was a salad, but not much in it). Then forgoing the flight meal (which I love) of mash, peas and caserole was hard. My colleague loved it so he had mine as well. The prick.<br />
<br />
A weekend away, sans kids, in Byron was hard too. Went to dinner one night and had tuna (ignored the potato cake) and asian greens. Not my preferred choice, by the only one allowable under the current 'regime'.<br />
<br />
So stocked to lose it. Hopefully will maintain the 2kg+ loss for the next 4 of 5 weeks which should get me under (or close to) the ton before the 2nd phase of the program kicks in. -
Well done Noddy, you're on fire. It seemed like just yesterday you started and you've already knocked off a fair whack. I'm getting inspired here - its time I stopped procrastinating and got off my fat arse. <br />
<br />
Eating out is always a challenge. At home you can get into a routine. -
hmmm, only lost .9kg. <br />
<br />
I had a tough week. Had some birthday cake, a pack of pringles and gourged on some choc chip cookies. Still plenty of excercise, but obviously the suger kicks stunted my weight loss.<br />
<br />
Bugger.<br />
<br />
Still, 1 kg in a week is good. Now 108.7kg which is just a smidge under 10kgs in 4 weeks.<br />
<br />
Want to crack another 2kg this week though. -
no weigh in for me till Wednesday (official weigh in at least), when I have a session with the Wesley's personal trainer. Its just a heart rate monitored walk, but its a chance to guage if I am exerting enough effort at the moment. Plus it will be with a little fit blonde hottie in bike pants.<br />
<br />
But, fuck, doesn't your weight fluctuate? I weighed myself Sunday morning (I think it was) and was about 106.3 thinking wow fucking fantastic - what a week. Then later that night before bed weighed again and I was over 109! I want to be below 107 at this week's weigh in (fuck I hate sounding like I am in the Biggest Loser). -

Same,your weight can change so much over the course of a day. Ive learnt to weigh myself always around the same time of day, ie first thing in the morning.<br />
<br />
I know this sounds stupid,but when does your body actually lose the weight? during the work out,immediately aftwards,or in the following hours like when your asleep? -
I feel another "wahoooo" coming on - wahooooo!!! Yep, there it is.<br />
<br />
Lost 3.2kg this week. Well it was a tad over a week but it puts me at 105.5 for a total loss of 12.6 in 5 weeks.!!!!<br />
<br />
Sen-bloody-sational. Aiming to crack the double digits possibly by Easter. Although I kinda hope I am just above, as it will make it much easier to maintain the strictness over Easter. -

Great work Noddy <br />
Keep it up,what weight are you aiming for? -
<br />
they have set me a target of 90kg<br />
<br />
I wouldn't mind sneaking down to 85kg...you know, just to see what its like down there. Of course it would mean an entire new wardrobe.<br />
<br />
<br />
How tall are you?..funny 90kg is were im starting lol,want to get down to 80kg first of all..then maybe 75ish,,, -
I'm assuming he's a midget <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /><br />
<br />
When I weigh myself, its always the same time of day: Get up, have my morning slash, get on the scales. Suppose that's not feasible with going to the medical centre later in the day, but there you go. -

<br />
6 foot.<br />
<br />
Used my heart rate monitor for the first time this morning. I set my min and max HR required to burn fat at the optimum level (115-145) and started off normally, but then the little prick started beeping at me - not working hard enough!!! It was like my old rugby coaches. "C'mon stop taking it easy Noddy. Harder, push yourself".<br />
<br />
It was great. So did a 55 min walk with 50 mins of it in the fat burning zone.<br />
<br />
Good stuff.<br />
<br />
Challenge today though. Corporate golf day with free lunch, dinner and beers. I will be sticking to my salad and waters however. -
<br />
heart rate monitor worked a treat. Lost 2.3 kgs this week, and a shortened week at that.<br />
<br />
Down to 103.2kgs.<br />
<br />
Should be able to crack the reverse ton by Easter for sure. So far have lost 14.9 kilos in 7 weeks.<br />
<br />
<br />
Great work Noddy, as a Queensland supporter must even tougher to keep trim!...must be tempted to either drink your sorrows or binge on comfort food <br />
<br />
Nearly 15 kilos in 7 weeks is a top effort. -
Fark - you've kicked my arse Noddy. I'm still about 112 at the moment so no hope of winning that race. Hasn't helped that I've been doing no exercse of course :nta<br />
<br />
I owe you a Bundy <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> -
got given a ipod shuffle by a supplier at work for being a good client. Used it for the first time this morning on my walk. Gees it helps. I had put on only about 2.5 hours worth of songs, but chose great ones and they kept me going at a decent clip for longer.<br />
<br />
Usually it takes me a while to get myself going in the morning at 5am - dark, quiet, alone etc. and then you have the HR monitor beeping at you saying that you're going too slow despite the fact I'm just leaving the front gate.<br />
<br />
Popped the head phones on, set it to shuffle and the first song? "World in Union". Fark it had me going from the start. I had picked some great songs. The first 45 mins or so were bang on. Might have to delete a couple that came on after that (Bernard Fanning, Custard - good songs but not inspiring). But what a funny sight I must have been over that next hour. Singing, clicking, a bit of air guitar, the odd groove step - all done at a cracking pace and me pouring with sweat. A lot of fun. I could've walked for another hour if I didn't have to go to work. -
