Apparently it is a show that offends millennials so for that it gets a couple of thumbs up at least.
Now it's gone up in my estimation.
Have a read of this and hope like hell todays 20 something’s never have to go to war
Shockingly offensive. Poor dear. Probably has PTSD now.

Finished S2 of Animal Kingdom.
Still enjoying it, good ending.
Barkin really needs to sue her plastic surgeon though!
Questions though...

What is J upto, seems to be playing everyone, out for what is best for J, although cant believe he got back with the trainee crack whore!
Have to assume he has a plan to get back at everyone for letting his mum die?

Enjoyed this Netflix documentary just out.
Yes I know look up a couple posts and you will see me talk about it...
Just finished it last night, doesn’t paint NASA in a good light in particular a couple of guys. One who still to this day refuses to take responsibility for what they did. Even to say he would do it all over again..

Did anyone watch the All or nothing All Blacks series?
Yep. Focused on NMS IIRC.

Also started Des last night. Based on a true story about a London serial killer. Wtf??? How come I've never heard of this guy.
Denis Nilsen. It's got great reviews so def. on my list.
I'm re-watching Rillington Place with Tim Roth - about another serial killer, John Christie. Recommended.

@Victor-Meldrew yeah I started that with the missus ages ago but she didn't like it so forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder, I'll pick it up again.

Ratched on Netflix - bit of a prequel to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Looks good so far.

Think it's done by the same people. Very gothic.

I have finished my trip down memory lane with a viewing of the original Battlestar Galactica series. I had forgotten about some of the other well-known guest stars that appeared like Fred Astaire. Rick Springfield made a brief appearance in Ep1 as Apollo's younger brother Zac. The special features were also interesting with mentions of Glen A Larson's Mormon references throughout the series, and some of the different plot lines that never eventuated.

How was it as a series to watch though? Hard going due to the era it was made (and in comparison with the update) or still pretty decent?
I had no idea Fred Astaire was in an episode.

The show is definitely of its time but I enjoyed it. Obviously the remake is much better but for 1978-79 the SFX were good and it was interesting to see how some of the effects were done in the days before blue/green screen. And the chimp Evie inside Muffit with her sounds removed for the final versions of scenes.
I won't be watching it again anytime soon. I've got the disappointing Galactica 1980 to watch.
I had no idea Fred Astaire was in an episode.
He played the character Chameleon in Ep15, the conman who "pretended" to be Starbuck's father. The info on IMDb says Astaire contacted producer Donald P. Bellisario to ask if he could play a small guest part to please his grandchildren, who were enormous fans of the show.
The big guest stars were Lloyd Bridges and Patrick Macnee. The likes of Ed Begley Jr and Larry Manetti had smaller supporting roles. Jane Seymour was hawt too.

Four episodes in and it's Judy Davis who's stealing the show as Nurse Bucket.
Great to see some good roles going to older actresses.

Watching the You Tube series No More Jockeys. Alex Horne, Tim Key and Mark Watson drinking and playing a game over Zoom. I'm going to start playing this with my mates at the pub (he says pretending he has mates, or if he did, that they would go out drinking together)
