@MN5 haha yeah maybe the empire should invest in some beskar armour rather than the pointless money they spend on training the useless fluffybunnies, they might last a bit longer then.
Beskar is far too expensive for a grunt.
They obviously go with the tactic of trying to overwhelm them with numbers but the only way they win is when good guys are MASSIVELY outnumbered.

@MN5 yeah I realise that, but they should try something different.
There are a few different ST factions who are pretty tough.
I think the grunts are pretty handy at overwhelming untrained fighters, it’s when they come up against a few heroes that they come unstuck

@taniwharugby I was wondering if it was someone that looked like him to start with, like Carrie fishers daughter stood in for her scenes in rouge one
CGI was a little clunky. Perhaps they should have employed one of those porn crews that add celeb heads onto stick films....

Just got to watch it, wife had to pony out I was literally sitting on edge of my seat
Will looks up who the actor was
So good!
I also want to point out, how good was all female crew, shows you can just writes kickarse female characters
I’ve said this before but Storm Troopers are just horrifically shit at combat. Any main character vaguely worth his or her salt can take out loads at a time while not breaking a sweat.
I hope the Boba show has him against some formidable bounty hunters and other creatures and that stormtroopers barely make an appearance
Good for Tem that he's gonna pull a SW cheque in his later years

Just saw an interesting theory on Insta
Someone pointed out that r2d2 and grogu seemed to have a reaction to each other, is r2 the one that saved him from the temple, anyone remember where he was when shit went down?

My son was wondering that as well.

So just binge watched end of S1 and all of S2 of the Mandalorian over the last couple of days. All I can say is that THIS is Star Wars. It was clearly written by people who not only get and love SW, but can actually develop a great plot and, most importantly, great characters.
Funny how the same people who apparently only hated the sequel trilogy because of misogyny and racism are now fapping wildly over a series with minorities in pretty much every major role and strong asskicking females everywhere.
My only quibble is how clueless people seem to be about the Jedi. It’s not like this was ancient history and they hid in the shadows. But this kind of thing can be forgiven with great characters and storylines. Now all they have to do is retcon the sequels and my journey back from the Dark Side will be complete.

Hispanics, Black Dudes, Asian chicks.......fuck it even has Maoris and bald gingas !
In terms of the Jedi and lack of knowledge I can only assume the Empire had a massive propoganda team who wiped all trace of them from existence ?

Maybe, what I thought was really good was how you had the hard core Empire loyalists spouting off about how great the Empire was. Explains how it could be preserved and how it wasn’t just the Emperor and Vader and a bunch of storm troopers. Trouble is that it makes a cartoon villain like Hux look even more absurd. Fark Favreau et al are showing up the morons behind the sequels.
Obviously small sample size but was at at Boxing Day bbq and mentioned that I’d be reclining on the sofa most of the day binging on the Mandalorian. Several others mentioned how good it was and how much better it was than the sequels and then some of the kids piped up and said the same thing. It seems a lot of kids are indifferent to SW these days because there is so much competition from Marvel and computer games. You need your Mandos, Bobas, Caras etc to compete. Astonishingly enough, the likes of Rose, Holdo, grumpy Luke, and woefully underdeveloped Rey, Finn and Poe don’t seem to cut it.
