@MN5 @Crazy-Horse My kid did a rock concert last Friday night that included a cover of Moby Dick. It was great because they trimmed it to a 2.5 minute version. The recorded version is almost 5 minutes and has a 3-fucking-minute drum solo, and apparently they performed the song live once and it went for 15 minutes!!!
Its not even a good drum solo!!!

No it's not, it's ponderous, self indulgent and boring as fuck as are most drum solos.
I fucken love Zep, I do think they are the best band ever but I still reckon Bonham was overrated. Of his era I reckon Ginger Baker, Bill Ward and Ian Paice were better but played in inferior ( relatively speaking ) bands.
Keith Moon was another overrated drummer who died young. I see a pattern here......

Aaargh love when a song filled with memories takes you by surprise 😍

Apparently there's been a bit of buzz around this song, ex Disney gal tik tok fame or something but I'm not down enough with the kids....
But wow I remember being 17/18 and feeling all the feels like the end of the world. She'll get over it. -

@pakman awww read me like a book! DRIVE is my fave... And Gravity. Need to hunt out my old bic cds.
I saw her live a couple month's back... she was still flawless, despite the many many years gone past. 1997, ffs.
People conceived to that album, now have toddlers. -

@Kruse I missed a chance to see her yeeeeears ago can't even remember how many, in a smallish venue in Birmingham, The Glee Club and I was gutted! Was a ferner that introduced me to Bic in the early naughties, eternally grateful 🙏🏻

Eerily similar. I hadn't heard of her (was living overseas) until you guys were talking about her on here. Probably the same conversation. Then missed her concert at a local vineyard when I was back in NZ a few years later. Was annoyed.

@R-L I will always remember a very young (must have been 18 or 19) and unknown Bic Runga opening for the Finn Brothers in Christchurch back in the mid ninties. It was just her and her acoustic guitar playing songs that would be on her first album. The innocence of Sway and Drive were gorgeous. She also described how Bursting Through was written while she was in her bedroom feeling bad after being told off by her parents. You could get a real sense of the audience being blown away by her. It was like we were all transfixed by this beautiful young lady with a beautiful voice singing songs she had written from the heart. It really was something special.
The poor guy who played after her wandered on to stage, shook his head and said "How the hell can I possibly follow that?"
