I love a good cover, particularly enjoying Miley cyrus lately maybe because of the edge of midnight song. I love this song, my favourite version is by Aslan though but this is pretty good. Nice voice.

This was no where near as terrible as I assumed it would be.

Edge of seventeen is when Tom Petty told Stevie he met his first wife.

@r-l there's a mythos built around Petty as a decent, regular guy divorced from the trappings of a rock star lifestyle.
Listen to the podcast Enzology and the Finn brothers are scathing of Petty. They toured North America together as an arrogant, conceited asshole. Totally the opposite of his popular image. Up himself, thought he was a superstar - this was in the early days before he did become a global superstar. Hated it if Enz gotr a decent reception, would sabotage their practice sessions, fiddle with their sound system after Enz had done their sound checks etc.
Only one side of the story but interesting nevertheless.

Haven't read thet Dog, but regardless Petty is someone I have always enjoyed listening to. Interesting you say about Enz, I read similar about another NZ group (name will come to one day) who had very similar things to say about being an opening act for the Kinks.
