@voodoo never watched either, I used to dislike Gervais, and I always found Carrell hit and miss too....I seen plenty of clips, gifs and quotes form them both that makes me think I would like them, so might get around to them one day.

@nepia I had watched several series of the UK one when I was there, but not all.
I started the US one, watched a handful and bailed cos they were too similar.
I hear similar attitude for The Office?
Basically either or?
Watching From Russia to Iran: Crossing Wild Frontier.
Excellent series as the host Levison Wood zig zags on foot from the Russian side of the Cacusus mountains, through the various countries on his way to Iran.
I loved both versions of The Office. Such a different energy. UK version is gloriously depressing, while the US is a lot more goofy and fun.
perfect description, watched the UK one when it first came out and was an instant classic. We started the Us one at te start of the year have kept at it, fun but different

There's material in the UK "Office" scripts that could never have been put into th US version I reckon. That includes just about everything that comes out of the mouth of Gareth.
Love Gareth. I may have posted here already, but Detectorists was a great 3 series show
-
@taniwharugby I think both are similar on that they follow the original in S1 then deviate to suit an American audience from S2 on.
Iām only just watching US office currently and S1 was a slog (like Parks and Rec by same show runners) and then it really kicked into gear.

@bones A hint of tit. In one episode. Out of three seasons.
GFY.
That will no entice anyone.
Well maybe @m4l
fuck your own face
I've started watching a show called City on a Hill
Idealistic DA and "corrupt" FBI agent trying to take down armoured car robbers in Boston in the 90s
Kevin Bacon's character is fucking great. Just an amoral asshole.
Yeah I've started it too, after having it sitting there for yonks. KB is great and it's pretty catchy after a slow start. Do you know about the "situation" that happened that it's set after?

Does anyone else watch Big Mouth on Netflix? Its a cartoon series on netflix about some kids going through puberty. Just finished series 2 and farken hilarious
Yeah - I think I've watched 1 season... some really good moments. I really want to show it to my niece/nephews as they approach puberty... but then realise it's probably just going to give them ideas. It's all well and good that most of it is stuff that they really are going to go through, and should eventually find out is "normal"... but all probably stuff they should probably discover on their own, feel crushing guilt over, and then figure it out in the end.
One moment which I thought excellent... a pubescent girl admitting to herself "Maybe Mum was right...", and her "puberty monster" immediately shrieking at her "Don't you say that! Don't you EVER say that!"

Series 2 of For All Mankind
Wasn't impressed with the first 2-3 episodes but it's really built and I think it's probably better than series 1.

@victor-meldrew S2 has focused a little too much on the personal lives of the main characters, including some storylines that are largely redundant to the overall story, at the expense of the space rivalry. I've watched up to Ep8 and will probably watch Ep9 tonight. Hopefully this season ends with a bang (metaphorically not literally). Still an enjoyable watch.

@victor-meldrew Ep9 was great, and the final scene. I can't wait for next week.
