i am still trying to process a Warriors team completing 40 from 40
Wouldn't it have been 39/40 if the TMO had ruled a correct knock on from the referral? Which TBF would still be as hard to process.
why you gotta be a hater?

They did complete 39/40 which is amazing anyway. The halves still look way off the mark, they engaged the line and actually executed the block play on the last a few times to allow RTS more room to attack on the fifth which was a nice change, but still there basic kicking was ordinary and the lack of a drop goal attempt at the end was worrying. We got good roll forward through the forwards which helped having two props back and for the record, Tohu played lock for most of the game, that is why he popped up on both sides of the field occassionally. He went to the edge when Jazz came on, and when BMM came on moved back to the middle. Curran dominated on his edge doesnt look to necessarily be a ball player but ran good lines and he had 30 of those 50 tackles by half time, seriously only hookers who play in the middle normally hit those numbers. It did seem to inspire those around him too with some good scramble at times.
Pompey continues to play with more confidence and was making more tackle busts as a result and Montoya having some good moments too. Dont want to lose either of them and hope Pompey can walk off his injury, Hiku will be out for a while and Aitken supposedly back from week 9. Happy to see Katoa and Fus sit out again if this is what achieved a better balance. Curran has to strat again surely.Other news Bunty apparently to sign extended contract this week.
The storm this week for the ANZAC clash, we used to be competitive in this but have taken a few beatings lately, I dont expect us to win it for sure, but would be great to put in a similar effort as they did against the dragons, who knows maybe with high completion rate, might be able to stay in the game long enough for an upset.

@bayimports Melbourne are starting to look ominous. Grant is scary good. The one-two punch with Smith is really good. Munster is like a new Wally Lewis. The Pap at the back is in the conversation for the best FB in the game right now. And as usual the pack is doing all the right things.
-
@mariner4life Papy is on an insanely good run right now (unlike Teddy whose major provider Keary is season ending), the obvious problem is by focusing on him, you take your eye of Munster and Hughes. On top of that Grant is now available who controls the game exceptionally and of course the other kiwis all grow an extra leg and Nelson, Bromwich X2 and the Cheese when playing the warriors. So yes even not playing us Melbourne look good, but playing us, we will be doing well to stay close.
-
How poor were the titans. Just no attacking threat.
Ash Taylor needs to go
-
Kevo Walters should be happy with the Broncos performance to push Penrith for most the game.
They look much better with Oats and without Milford.

All the makings of a massive ANZAC upset or hiding!

The Cowboys obviously like sucking if the reports are true and they are going to offer Chad Townsend $2M over 3 years.

Do you think it could just be an attempt to put pressure on Reynolds to sign?, or perhaps Reynolds has said no unofficially? Clearly they are after somone to game manage as opposed to be chief creator.

nope... North Queensland have announced the signing of premiership-winning Sharks halfback Chad Townsend on a three-year deal starting in 2022.

Chad Townsend might be the greatest most improved award winner of all time. It was always the suckiest certificate to get at the end of year rugby awards but in his case I think it's well deserved.
My hatred of seeing his name on the starting sheet for the Warriors almost rivalled the hatred I felt seeing Kata's. He barely looked a 6th grade club player let alone a starting NRL player back then but he's gone on to have a decent career. He's never been stellar but he does a job.

fucking LOL at rugby league
Latrell Mitchell gets a month for being a filthy scumbag. Could have been 3 but he contested and lost. Tough shit get over it.
If you are his coach, a bunnies fan, or in the Sydney media, it's the biggest injustice in the history of the world.
Then you move to Radley not even getting a week for hitting Munster in the head. Terrible decision. In the mind of the Sydney media though it's okay because he hit a Storm player from Qld.

For me, I have no problem with Latrell, he lost the plot in that game and lashing out stupidly. What I cannot understand is how Radely doesnt get something similar. The media I think, believe head knocks are still nothing and weirdly seemingly promote that, for me an accidental or deliberate attack at the head needs to be removed consistently for the message to change. Neither the media or NRL seemingly understand this yet.

because the sydney NRL media are all giant fuckwits who all appear to have taken too many hits to the head.
Radley deserved a week for his coathanger. Kaufusi should have got more for his elbow.
The problem here isn't Latrell getting too many, the problem is others not getting enough.

It'll change once they're sued.
