Fat busting/Ab circle
-
xzxshok amazingly i have lost 5cm of the tum! Wifey is looking mint too! I really wanted it to be a piece of shit but im starting to get addicted to it.

Im not ready to make love to it and actually fork out to keep it but I can report it is not a pile of shit xzxgood

Still one very big day to get through on friday, the timing of my trial was not ideal. -
Well for the first time in maybe 3 years Im under 100kg. I'd say it has more to do with my diet plan than the actual machine but results are results. I've lost 6kg and its xmas!

I would likely have the makings of a 6 pack by now if I had been simply doing regular crunches. But the effort involved with using the machine is so low I don't mind so much.

If I keep at it and make this an on going part of my daily work out then Im likely to get the 6 pack in about a month. Of course though that would require me to actually splash out and buy it out right.

Some pretty good side effects have been the definition I've gained in areas I wasn't expecting to. My arms, chest and shoulders are starting to get pretty buff. I do light weights regularly but nothing like Bart,MN5 or RB, but it wasn't until I started using the machine that I got this type of definition(if this keeps up I may consider b4 and after pics...). Again the diet is the likeliest contributing factor here. -
Yep top effort Raz, you've gone south of the hundie and I've gone north 103 at last weigh in !!! ( would insert shocked face in here if I knew how to on the new layout )

Hard to curtail a few cheeky beers and vinos at this time of year but I'm watching what I eat so should get back to 99-100 shortly provided I eat the meat and salad and leave the white bread alone ! -
Growing up in a household that served a loaf of bread at every meal and was expected to be eaten I found it initially quite hard giving away white bread. It was a few years ago now but when ever I have white now its so flavourless. I will eat the stuff still hot from the bakery but I'd take whole grain or vogels any day of the week thanks over regular white bread.

Yeah white bread is so stuffed full of "bad' carbs it isn't funny. Weird that bread is so hard to completely give up but I was proud of myself the other day. Steak, chops, prawns, a couple of sausages, lettuce and no bread in sight. Twas a farkin great BBQ I must say.... -
Okie dokie

went away for a week. 2 things happened. I lapsed and was treated to some good old family hospitality for the entirety of that week. 3 Hangi in one week!!!! My first spear hunting jaunt, shit loads of fish(none speared by me) and I swear I ate an entire formula tin of steam pudding. You can't say no when your guest.....

So a couple kegs back on.

Next we returned to Casa del Razbra and realised we had not returned the Ab circle before the 30 days had ended. Stuck with it now.

Im determined to get my moneys worth so Im doing 3 times a day and as an added stupidity Im doing crunches sets in between.

Diet wise as mentioned on MN5 thread we have decided to cut the carbs at dinner. Last night had mussels, prawns and lemon fish with spinach and a sav reduction and I can report it was the shit!

Tons of fun trying to find ways not to have spuds and pasta! -
Interesting thread Raz - it's almost like you work for the company. Lower everyone's expectations at the start. Complain about the equipment. And then, BANG, you come in with the great results.
<img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> (I know that's not the case though ....)

Your holiday away sounded awesome - 3 hangi in one week, that's like heaven. Steam pudding as well. Man I'm envious. -
Yeah you're not wrong. The whole thread has a cheesy informercial feel about. Purely unintentional and here's proof.

I would say had I been doing normal low impact swiss ball work or Otago crunches for the same amount of time I would honestly go out topless to do the groceries.

Now what it does do is give me a placebo to lead into my other fitness work. I start on that thing every morning and I feel good and then move on to other exercises. It does some good but not really what it claims to do.

The diet plan that came with it is commonsense and I got bored with it and went in another direction. But the important point here is that the diet has to go hand in hand with your training regime.

The people that they use in some of the ads would not actually be able to use this machine as it has a weight limit of 120kg but I was 107kg when I started and had I been 110kg I think it would have folded under me.

So basically I'll continue to use it on the basis that it has cost me $133(more than i was led to believe) for the next 3 months and I don't like to waste money.....too late.

Anyway I reckon its good for a morning wake up and hey I lost weight using it. Still no substitute for hard work so my endorsement of the AB Circle Pro goes as such:

I wouldn't buy it if you don't mind doing crunches. They are going to get you faster results and cost nothing! If you have motivation problems(normal ab work is too much like hard work for you) and are willing to stick at it(as it will take longer to get desired results) then I would say maybe this thing is good for you.

Nepia: was pretty good we got to Piha and my cousin said his mate was putting one in the ground. Just for about 20 people. Then the following day we went to my auntie house and had and another(shame with this one though as one of the boys on steam watch didn't do his job and let a lot of the heat escape. some of the chicken had to be turfed) then the day we left we stopped at a mates in Taupo and caught the end of his.

All were boutique jobs though. Nothing like what you get on the Pa <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> -
@Paj. I took a page out of Barts book as an experiment and honestly not likely to be looking back. I have cut right back on the carbs at dinner and that goes for the liquid kind as well. Which is what I miss most.
Introducing more fish too. My kids don't have enough seafood and my wife and I had always intended to have that as we ate little as kids.

All well and good only a couple weeks in to be talking like its worked for for years but It really is surprising how the weight falls off. It seems ridiculous that something so simple can make much of a difference!

Question Bartman. I have noticed that I don't snack anymore. No cravings after dinner which I thought would be the complete opposite of what I'd feel like. Normal or am I just weird?

Edit: Paj the no carbs thing works for me more than most likely because of my families dependence on pasta, bread and spuds. So I don't really need to do much more at this stage.

Im slowly learning about what meats are best(cuts specifically) Im finding it really interesting. -
Dunno Razz - I have a protein shake and Mrs B has yoghurt and protein pwder after dinner (an hour or two), but we don't really feel like snacking either - not through hunger anyway. If it si through anything, it would be through craving sugar or something - especially as the weeks get closer to comp!

If you do get hungry though after dinner folks - just load your plate up with more VEG - sans peas and corn and the spuds! -
