Went to Eminem at the Caketin tonight. Massive gig, he's still got it. Good mix of new and old, although you know you are always going to get a medley type set from a rapper. He had some good support acts, include Hilltop Hoods from Adelaide. Also had a primo female vocalist who was excellent.
Holy shit a lot of young people still smoke ciggies, and the weed was flowing also!! Can't recall the last time I came home from a night out smelling like smoke. Don't miss it at all. Ha, def an old man!!
I must be older than you, I went to see this down the road from the stadium last night . I'm hoping Tyler Childers comes back with his band . Prine was awesome.
my folks offered me a free ticket to this. Their neighbours couldn't go or something.
I've never heard of him and I'm glad I didn't judging by this. I've heard better buskers on Cuba Street.
"Roger Waters, when asked by Word Magazine in 2008 if he heard Pink Floyd's influence in newer British bands like Radiohead, replied, "I don't really listen to Radiohead. I listened to the albums and they just didn't move me in the way, say, John Prine does. His is just extraordinarily eloquent music—and he lives on that plane with Neil Young and Lennon."[19]
"In 2009, Bob Dylan told The Huffington Post that Prine was one of his favorite writers, stating "Prine's stuff is pure Proustian existentialism. Midwestern mindtrips to the nth degree. And he writes beautiful songs. I remember when Kris Kristofferson first brought him on the scene. 'Sam Stone' featuring the wonderfully evocative line: 'There’s a hole in daddy's arm where all the money goes, and Jesus Christ died for nothing I suppose.'[16] All that stuff about "Sam Stone," the soldier junkie daddy, and "Donald and Lydia", where people make love from ten miles away. Nobody but Prine could write like that."[17]"

You can pluck any quote from a famous artist to try and reinforce your point. I still stand by mine. Music is as we all know very subjective and I find most people warbling on an acoustic guitar quite unlistenable much in the same way I despise Bob Dylan. Even before he said 'Proustian existentialism'....yeah piss off Bob you condescending old shitcunt.
'oh but he's such an amazing songwriter, he's the voice of a generation'
Well fucken sing a catchy song we enjoy listening to then fluffybunny....

Aaargh I've missed Sarah Mc, not heard her in years! If anyone's PMSing or in need of some 90s/00s depressing/sexy music strongly recommend...the wine has brought her out tonight for an old singsong 🤫🍷

"Far Away Eyes" off "Some Girls" has always been a favourite of mine amongst the deep cuts. The Stones doing country. "Play With Fire" has piqued my interest again after Westworld.
Sounds just like a Gram Parsons song. Which is a good thing.

Aaaand I'm listening to various Gatecrasher albums all day.

Delerium improved her original song in my opinion, a good remix is magical! Particularly like Teisto mix.

I actually find her music that’s not remixed into a dance track to be pretty awful actually. Sorry.

@Nepia have to admit she can sing though
Definitely, not disputing that, just don’t like her style/arrangements.

I hate about about 90% of that type of music , really enjoyed that though .
This sort of remix is more my taste , when I play it I like to give my nieghbours an opportunity to see if they like it too
