For anyone watching the Bordeaux Bègles-Munster game, it's worth keeping an eye on their 19-year old fullback, Jon Echegaray. I watched him play for France U20s and he looks like, yet another, class back for Bordeaux. Looks to be another quality player to come from the French Basque country.

I've just watched this match. Stopping the game to put a plaster on your nose FFS. It's still a lottery at the breakdown with Amashukeli.
Bordeaux's bench is weak but they look to have a few injuries given who could be playing. Nankivell had a good 2nd half when he finally got some ball in his hands. Big Ben T was good.

So the deadline has passed with the regions refusing to promise to sign the unknown contracts. What's next do you think? I'm guessing a fudged compromise which in reality is an embarrassing climbdown for the WRU.
