I may have overstated "big" somewhat - it's one of those sidewalk junction boxes, waist-height. Just past the school on Otanga Road.
It does bring a small smile to my dial every time I ride past it when visiting sister/niece/nephews nearby.
Was about to post a screenshot from Google-Street-View, but that would ruin the suspense/disappointment of your highlight of visiting Rotorua. -

Buck leading the haka is such an iconic image. The tape and those protruding teeth, you could never confuse him with someone else. What a legend. 👍
