Fuck that would have been embarrassing eh. Well recovered canes.

The Landers played out of their skin. They probably deserved to win.

Showed a bit of grit for a change, but would have been put away by a team that wasn't phoning it in.

The Canes were clunky as fuck. Bye probably came at the wrong time tbh. But would rather win ugly I suppose.

@antipodean what a ridiculous comment. highlanders had the ref in their pocket at the offside line and with their hands in the ruck all day

    Mods @Canes4life has two accounts.

Nah just a shit comment from you though.

It shows how important exits are. Not enough distance in the kick by Robinson and then that lineout.

The reffing of the ruck was atrocious. Lost count of the number of times a Canes player just sealed off the ball off their feet.

Landers played poorly especially in attack. And the Canes were only marginally better.

Apparently half the team were sick over the last week or so which doesn’t help. So I’ll take the win any day.

If you can play that poorly and still win despite the Landers bringing some real heat in defence and at lineout time you take the win every day of the week and twice on Sunday
Amua playing his way out of an All Black squad altogether his lineout throwing is a massive liability
Love the energy Holland brings to a team

Yep Aumua was piss poor. He’s been pretty poor since coming back. Doesn’t look fit enough tbh.

Funny one isn't it? If canes apply themselves a bit better in the first half, dollars to donuts the Landers would have checked out by 60 and canes could have cruised home, without having to leave everything out there.

Guess they won't have given anything away on video analysis though.

Think he got a bit distracted by the Landers niggling him, you could see him "hunting" out certain players in subsequent plays.

@Bones that’s the most physical I have seen from the Highlanders team in a very long time
if they can bottle that sort of attitude as a young group moving forward they have ability to create something special

@Canes4life I not convinced a it all Aumua's throwing, we had a few lineouts where the jumpers caught it, and got it knocked out of their hands. We need to tighten up the whole lineout. And that bloody Fabian Holland sure know how to make it hard for opposition, he is growing in the good stuff all the time.

I'm pretty sure that is just copied and pasted from wins earlier in the season...

At least now it's being done for losses too.

Yeah but to be fair should have the experience now to brush that shit off and focus on his job.

Hopefully can turn a corner with form otherwise his AB spot could be in jeopardy.

He's just got to play better than the crusaders 3rd string hooker.
