@kiwiinmelb said in Ire v Aus:

@Pot-Hale i think they are forgetting execution , effort will only get you so far

But does that no concur with exactly what the commentator was saying?

The scoreboard doesn't reflect the effort put in. That's as much a reflection on our poor execution as anything else.

@munstergreen possibly, i took it as they deserve to have more points , no mention was made that their execution with all their possession in both games was lacking a bit

@kiwiinmelb yeah fair enough. Like I said last week our commentators are garbage.

I'd like to think most of us recognise that selecting conservative, not fit defenders across a backline stifles our attack.

This could get ugly. Our defence is all over the place and we seem intent on kicking the ball loosely to their back 3.

Bloody hell the Aussie backs are running riot now, have created about five try scoring opportunites in 15 minutes and scored two.

This Irish pack sure has shown the rugby world what forward play is all about. They just don't seem to make mistakes and all do their jobs so well. If they had their full strength backline this would not be so close.

27-24 to Ireland, 7 minutes left. In Irish 22 their feed to scrum. Anyone's game this.

Something which bugs me about this 'choke' tackle. If it's a maul, why aren't the 'chokers' penalised for collapsing it?

Irish very lucky at breakdown not to get pinged for coming in from the side. Instead Aus penalised for not releasing. Big call.

Ireland get out of jail on the back of a penalty, thought he would blow in Aus favour there for both hands in the ruck and coming in from the side.

Aus have lost the plot. Why kick it away?

Yep bad call but the return kick was worse, now Aus throw a stupid pass into touch. Composure lads. Easy for me to say siting on my fat arse lol.
