Ralphy suggested it's time to put the pressure on McGuire. Said he's been there nearly 20 years. It's his coach, the list his coach wanted and he's ruined the club as a result.
It's gonna get ugly soon. McGuire cant handle criticism.

@kiwiinmelb Since I'm not a fan of Collingwood supporters generally and dislike McGuire specifically, I'd be thrilled if he has sent the club into a long term decline.

I think it boils down to one thing - they're simply not that good. They don't have good depth. Their cohesion between midfield and forward line is nonexistent. They have a few good young players, but they aren't where they need to be to win games. Competitive but other than Pendlebury they have very little class in their squad.

@ACT-Crusader they've fucked up their recruitment. They traded away draft picks, and overstacked their midfield with ball winners, to the detriment of both the back and forward lines. They can't score, and they can't stop the other team from scoring either.
One of their bet players yesterday was the 45 year old, perpetually injured Daniel Wells. Obviously building for the future...

That was a phenomenal game by Gazza. Not just all the possessions - 45, but his tackling was awesome. Finished the game with the most tackles He looked like he had young legs again.

There was always going to be a rocky start as a new franchise, but I think given the recruiting and priorites GWS had at their disposal, most believed they would come good.
Dogs were a genuine surprise, but they were well coached last year.
It was an exciting game to watch and glad GWS won because I thought overall they were the better side.

Anyone who understood preferential draft picks knew they'd grow into contenders who will probably win at least two flags in a row. It's the same principle the AFL utilised for the Lions.

Richmond went in witha radical plan , dropping talls , picking a small quick team to out Harris them, and for a quarter it was looking like a master stroke, then got blown out the water,
Going to take some stopping , look forward to seeing them play the dogs away
