Whoa ! Haven't written in here for ages, poor from me. Still trucking along, proud to say I have dropped to 96-97kg whilst maintaining strength ( well still deadlifting the same ) Bench has gone down a bit fuck it, I put this down to lack of practice ( ie I've still been doing push presses and clap push ups ) it should be back after a couple of sessions. I have to say that after last weeks benching my shoulders hurt like fucken anything, clearly they had gotten used to not doing it !

How did I drop the weight ? pretty simple really, completely cut down all the drinking I was doing during the cup, I was 102kg the day after the WC final.....jeans and shirts definitely a tiny bit looser. Imagine if I gave up completely !

Still keeping on keeping on. Weight about 98-99kg depending on the time of day. Strength in most lifts at an all time high. Really pleased that I busted out six chin ups with 30kg attached the other day, belt didnt like it though so the buckle snapped and had to buy another one, DOH !

Buying another one was definitely on the cards as the pants are pretty loose still, a bit more give than during the World cup as alluded to above !

[sup]Deadlifted for the first time since november ( according to my vague training schedule ) and maxed out at 215kg !!!! [/sup]

[sup]Fucken thrilled about that, I put the improvement down to chins/pulls which I have been doing quite a lot of. Awesome feeling getting that weight up there. [/sup]

that's impressive mate! Would love to one day crack the 200kg mark.

I have done some decent reps at ok weights lately. Will have to give a true 1RM a go sometime soon.
but target 200, that's a grand target.

Cheers boys. For some reason I've always been pretty good at deads. Absolutely no way I could squat anywhere near that amount but since its my best lift I always say that it, not the squat, are the ultimate king of all exercises haha.

I'm in the same boat mate. Find I enjoy deadlifts and do a fair bit more on them then I can squat. The king of exercises indeed.

Afterall, ya never know when someone is gonna need a hand pulling their mini out of a ditch!

Yep or a root ripped out of the ground. Mind you that doesn't always go to plan, go back a couple of pages to find out how I injured myself when I bit off more than I could chew ( or in this case rip out of the ground hahaha )

at the moment my squat and deadlift are neck and neck pretty much. Think squats at full noise now though, still a little left in the tank for the deads... loving it.
