    Napier BHS v Hastings BHS Super Eight match this Saturday (17th) at Napier, midday.

    Isn't there also a cup they annually play each other for?

    @Number-10

    This one has already been played; I assume the only one Napier Boys will win in the local derby:

    Napier Boy's U15 69, Hasting's Boy's U17 0

    I have no idea about a cup or trophy they play for. Will be a good game to watch; so disappointing this game is not on tv this year!

    Super 8:
    Napier Boys HS 3, Hastings Boys HS 38

    Central North Island:
    Lindisfarne College 0, Wesley College 27

    I'm glad that Hastings didn't smash Napier as much as other schools this year. Don't want our second school to be too much behind. Would love them to be the nos. 1 and 2 in Super 8, but I'm not sure where Napier sits compared to the other Super 8 schools. They're definitely better than last year.

    Named in the Hurricanes U18 squad:

    Folau Fakatava - Hastings BHS - Hawkes Bay
    Devan Flanders - Hastings BHS - Hawkes Bay
    Gideon Kautai - Hastings BHS - Hawkes Bay
    Kianu Kereru-Symes - Hastings BHS - Hawkes Bay
    Miracle Lolofie - Hastings BHS - Hawkes Bay
    Donovan Mataira - Hastings BHS - Hawkes Bay
    Lincoln McClutchie - Hastings BHS - Hawkes Bay
    Josiah Metcalfe - Hastings BHS - Hawkes Bay
    Dennon Robinson - Hastings BHS - Hawkes Bay
    Danny Toala - Hastings BHS - Hawkes Bay
    Liam Udy-Johns - Hastings BHS - Hawkes Bay

    Cam Huata - Napier Boy's High School - Hawkes Bay
    Tyrone Thompson - Napier Boy's High School - Hawkes Bay
    Jacob Lochore - Napier Boy's High School - Hawkes Bay
    Josh Gimblett - Napier Boy's High School - Hawkes Bay
    Josh Bokser - Napier Boy's High School - Hawkes Bay
    Humphrey Sheild - Napier Boy's High School - Hawkes Bay
    Nathan Giles - Napier Boy's High School - Hawkes Bay
    Leo Thompson - Napier Boy's High School - Hawkes Bay

    Selected in the Chiefs U18, so lost to the Magpies:
    Jeriah Mua (BOP)

    Just read on FB that Kini Naholo (who may be too old for any U18 squad, considering he's already 18) is a Chiefs rather than a Canes prospect, and also a Hastings prop (not sure who). Haven't seen any confirmation of this, but I'm not happy about Naholo if it's true. Had hoped seeing him in the black & white jersey one day.

    @Stockcar86 Just read on their FB page that 8 players from the NBHS 1st XV team were unavailable due to injury, including their captain Josh Bokser and vice-captain Humphrey Sheild. Not sure whether they could have beaten Hamilton if these players had been available, but surely the score wouldn't have been that bad.

    @Stargazer
    We toured and played blackrock when I was at Lindisfarne. Really crazy history I think they had won about 90/110 ireland schools comps. Had about 1400 and 42 rugby teams. Think they beat us by about 20 points....ironically they asked if we were one of the top schools in the bay. We were like yeah HBHS only beat us by about 80 and NBHS by about 55.

    @Nepia that was stolen from an ex HBHS boy so don't blame me its them drinking the Kool aid! Pretty amazing though isn't it. Considering that doesn't include the Naki game the other day and potentially some others and pretty sure the 50 points includes 3 games in 7 days

    I'm just hoping they can go all the way this year!
