Beat the Booze

Kirwan and MvJ have inspired me by their challenge (I say their but in actual fact it's Kirwans challenge to MvJ)<br />

They are going to try and beat each others booze free periods by a day each time. It's currently at 13 days.<br />

So far I'm on 2, but will try and get to 14 -
I'd just like to say, before my websence shuts me off the Fern in 11mns, that G&T's are a girl's drink. Kirwan should be ashamed of himself for having them in the first place. <br />

In other words, not drinking a G&T for 13 days is no great achievment in my book. -

I realise the 6N is on, and I will obviously start from1 every time we meet up for a drink. Still a good idea -
I'm in for this. 1000 curses on Kirwan for setting the initial bar so high though. But when I beat him the victory will be sweet indeed. Unfortunately I have taken a bit of a tumble tonight--cue Kirwan: I told you soÂ
, being unable to get to sleep, so I have cranked two scotches. This, I hope, will put me in good stead for a dawn run tomorrow. That is only a fair trade off I am telling myself...<br />

That lapse aside, I have not wanted a drink mid-week for the past couple of weeks. So I've mastered it mid-week; the problem as Kirwan has pointed out is in the pub when the rugby is on. Unfortunately I have hellos and farewells on each of the next 3 weekends, but after that look out! All it takes is two booze-free weekends and the record will be smashed. Shortly afterwards, hopefully MvJ will be as well <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /><br />
