Very good news for 49ers today - Reuben Foster had his domestic violence case thrown out of court by a judge as it did not even reach the threshold required to go to trial as there was nothing to the case - he still has a marijuana case pending but he's only looking at a small suspension by the NFL (if that) once that is cleared up.

Eagles surprise fired employee with SB ring
A former Philadelphia Eagles executive assistant, who was fired by former coach Chip Kelly, was presented with a Super Bowl ring during the team's ring ceremony on Thursday.

Reuben Foster 49ers linebacker suspended 2 games for his off field issues. All things considered it's a good outcome for Foster and the 49ers. They key will be whether he has learnt anything - he is saying all the right things but time will tell. The kid has serious potential if he can keep on the straight and narrow.
Meanwhile Tampa Bay Bucs QB Jamies Winston has been suspended 3 games. He better be careful - he may not get too many more chances as a starter in this league the way things are going.

Earlier in the week, it was reported that Dez Bryant only wanted to play for a contender...he's now scheduled to visit with the Browns.:smiling_face_with_open_mouth_cold_sweat:
Even the Browns are wary after Dez went off on some podcast/radio/tweetmachine and ripped into his former Dallas teammates. Think he is done in the NFL.

NFL preseason is underway with Baltimore Ravens beating the Chicago Bears in the Hall of Fame game 17-16. Highlight was QB Lamar Jackson getting on the field for the Ravens. QB Robert Griffin III also played for Baltimore too (I thought he was retired!).
I expect QB Joe Flacco will have an excellent season. The Ravens have finally got him some receivers to play with in Michael Crabtree, Willie Snead and John Brown as well as drafting a new tightend in Hayden Hurst. They also drafted Jackson and that will light a fire under Flacco too.

He's 33! Just been watching younger Joe win a SB while I've been exercising ... he's not bad at all, but not sure how they will go. Also, Ray Lewis may be a despicable human being, but he was one hell of a player.

Interesting article about the relationship between games started as a rookie qb and career performance. Generally guys who aren't deemed ready to start in their rookie seasons just aren't good qbs. The exceptions are rookies behind hof qbs (rivers and Rogers the examples in the article, Garropolo likely to be another case).
Was interesting to me given the number of guys taken in the first round this year with a project tag, and the relatively low quality of guys in front of them.
