    I found this via the official Japan RFU site:

    Tickets for NZ v Australia: https://sell.pia.jp/inbound/selectTicket.php?eventCd=1833303&rlsCd=017&langCd=eng

    Tickets for Japan v NZ: https://sell.pia.jp/inbound/selectTicket.php?eventCd=1834482&rlsCd=017&langCd=eng

    Cheers - those were the links I was asking about in my last sentence. They have categories of tickets but don't show you where they are and the 7/11 thing so hopefully a Japan based Ferner might have some inside knowledge.

    I was looking for other info on the JFRU website and accidentally found the following pages with the ticket announcements for the Bledisloe 3 test and the Japan v NZ test. If you open the pages in Chrome, you can let the browser translate them into English. But even without a translation, you'll get an idea - I think - of where the seats in the different categories are from the venue map on these pages:

    NZ v Australia: https://www.rugby-japan.jp/news/2018/06/01/49162
    Japan v NZ: https://www.rugby-japan.jp/news/2018/06/01/49178

    Info about 7-Eleven is quite easy to find via google.

    Yep, that's the info, including seat allocations etc. I'll be going along with a mate.

    Cheers - and congrats on the little one.

    Have you been to those grounds before? What are the ends like - because the price hike between the ends and sides is crazy. Basically, if I was to get tickets in the middle on the side for each match the price will be nearly the same as my flights. I'm actually baulking at that (even though I've spent crazy money for rugby in the past).

    I won't lie, it's a shit ground. Even in the middle, it's nothing like watching at Waikato stadium.... we'll be going hammered and getting more so during and after....

    Also, picking up at a 7/11 isn't that hard. You may need to beg them to help you, but 7/11s are everywhere and they all have the PIA ticket machines. I've done it before - without help - and swore a bit, but got my tickets. Friends just asked the counter staff.

    @gt12 Damn, that ground looks crazy far (although probably no different than Homebush distance wise).

    I don't drink when watching rugby so I guess I'll have to invest in some decent binoculars.

    Good to know about the 7/11, it will be the first thing I do when I step off the plane. For some reason I just assumed Japan would have electronic tickets on phones.

    @nepia

    It's criminal for a WC final venue too, in my opinion. I guess the Olympic stadium wouldn't have been much better though. Regular old Prince Chichibu ground is my second favorite ground to watch footy, but like Waikato it's just too small for huge crowds, so not appropriate apparently. I still think they should have figured out a way of using it.
