@Stargazer @Nepia On Teddy, I haven't seen much of him but I understand he is a really good scrummager. There was also talk of him maybe moving away from prop and focusing on Hooker... can anyone elaborate? I hope he stays as a prop.

@Canes4life So far in club rugby, he has played both prop and hooker. In the Magpies WTG list, he is listed as a prop.

He's from Napier Boys so until he pulls on the white and black hoops he's the equivalent of a Cantabrian to me. πŸ˜‰

Well, that doesn't count while he's turning out for the light blue devils. πŸ˜‰

@Nepia In only 12 days, he'll probably play for the Bay agaisnt Ta$man. Can your sensitive soul survive that long? πŸ˜€

Nothing sensitive about a hatred built up over years of the big fancy pants boarding school bullying a small struggling low decile school. It’s just the way it is and the way it should be 😏

I’ll then have to do some research quickly so I can reply to the question!

He used to be allocated to my club in Wellington when he first made the Hurricanes. Needlesss to say we never saw him other than for the odd Junior's preseason registration date when they (allocated players) were forced to attend. Interesting that he is being allowed to play club rugby in Christchurch when we all thought the reason he did not play any games for my club were beacause his HBRFU contract has a clause that he play club rugby of a club affiliated to the HBRFU.

This is from a Hawke's Bay Today article about tomorrow's club rugby:

Havelock North will miss the services of former Hurricanes, Magpies and Southland Stags loosie Tony Lamborn who is in Wellington providing injury cover for the Melbourne Rebels team.

@98blueandgold So the two guys (Renton & Cridge) signed out of school when they were 19 by the Canes have now moved to Canterbury.

This better not happen with Flanders aswell.

@Canes4life Cridge is from Christchurch originally, and Renton is only there to attend Uni.

Goodness, the thought of the last Rebels player to turn out (thankfully only briefly) is still etched in my memory. Wonder what ever happend to Luke Rooney once he left?
