    .

As I predicted a while back, Campbell Parata has made the Ta$man U19 squad.
Interesting to see that Ti'i Paulo is the ass coach.

@Stargazer Ti’i Paulo’s Been the ass coach for a couple of years. Bailey Tautau was the Australian schoolboys number 8 last year too. Crusaders went on quite the shopping spree

Did Anton Segner stay in NZ? He would be in the Ta$man team if still based in Nelson.

@Bovidae He was in the Crusaders U18 squad that played 2 weeks ago. He is still at school, so he'll probably be in the Ta$man U19 squad next year, if he's still in NZ.

Taranaki U19 squad. Reading the text on this image, I assume all squads have to be cut back to 25 players for the seeding games.

@mikedogz Yeah, but that list is still the WTG, not the 30-men squad.

    Canterbury U19 squad

I assume this squad of 31 players will also be cut back to 25 for the main tournament.

@Stargazer 2 nz20s props already in that team. And Finlay Brewis was in the training squad until he got injured. That’s a bloody strong team. Suprised they haven’t bought in Zach Gallagher lock from Christ’s college. The guy is a enormous kid

@chchfanatic I understand that all U19 team must include a number of U20 frontrowers (even if they're not U19); I assume that has to do with new injury prevention requirements. So if a (NZ)U20 player isn't needed for the Mitre 10 Cup team, there's a good chance he'll be in the U19 team.
