A big head clash sees Gareths Evans and the 'Poo 12 both in a spot of bother. Maybe concussion HIA tests needed but certainly a bit of blood evident.

The 'Poo are experiencing a bit of difficulty come scrum time and not liking it very much. Very pleasing to see the ability to shunt them off the ball being available when we elect to do so. Stikll no change in the score after 25 minutes.

Oh dear, might be a spot of bother for one of the HB players after a rather latish challenge sets a 'Poo player down on the ground in a big heap.

That was Emerson. Didn't look like there was much in it.

Anothe 'Poo scrum disintergration leads to a penalty and yet another lineout drive from 5 metres results in the inevitable try to what looked like captain Ash Dixon.

'Poo 10 - 10 The Bay with a couple of minutes to go to halftime

No doubt the weather is affecting the game, but there are some good signs. Our scrum is working well and our line-out drive has led to two tries. Haven't looked at our tackle stats, but I think they're not that flash. While McClutchie's goal kicking - admittedly from difficult angles - isn't going well, the rest of his kicking game is good.

Generally, under the conditions, we're playing reasonably well, but still a lot of improvements to be made.

    I hope McNicol's injury isn't too serious

I'd like to see IWL come on early.

Haven't seen anything from Sapsford. Has he had the ball at all?

Good that we're taking it to them in the forwards.

Just the once, right aginst the right hand touchline about the Bay 10 yard mark. It was in traffic and he kicked ahead. In the meantime another beautiful work of art seem the third lineout drive try (Ash Dixon with his second one) and change of kicker Danny Toala successful from about ten metres to the left of the posts.
    45 mins 'Poo 07 - 17 The Bay

Why do refs tell a team to clear it on a dominant scrum. Stupid reffing.

Another try from a line-out drive. Rakete-Stones this time.

    24-10.

Great tactical kicking by Fakatava and McClutchie in the 2nd half with the wind

With a bit of luck the score might get to the 40s in the remaining ten minutes. Heaps of reserves have been run on so expect play to become a little disjointed from now on.
