Counties pack going well. Stopping some mauls - in the past they were Blues like in defence there.

@Canes4life You simply stated the the blindside flanker was the weakness in the Wellington forward pack. I was merely pointing out there are other big weaknesses in the Wellington forwards, particularly when scrums are involved. My apologies for thinking scrums are probably the biggest part of what front rows are rated on.

I'd take Taumateini over Ruru or Nock.

@Higgins these guys are bloody young though, so no, that's not all I'm going to judge them on at this stage of their career. They all showed in that last passage of play that they are all devastating ball carriers.

And yes, Kafatolu is the weakness - he is an aging club player and it's showing.

Great defence from Counties in the first half.

@Stargazer good defence, but fair to say there should have been a card earlier.

@Canes4life No, most of those Counties penalties were very soft penalties.

@Canes4life They Wellington props are gertting paid a mans wages to do a mans job but frankly should only be getting paid apprentice wages until they can man up in the scrums. You might be quite happy to accept getting a workover in scrums in return for a devastating ball carry or three but I gues I am old school where props did the hard work in the dark spaces and consider a props scrummaging ability to be paramount. Nothing worse in a game of rugby than to watch your scrum under pressure all game, it just gives the other team heaps of momentum and confidence.

@Higgins I'm not underestimating the importance of being a strong scrummager, as yes that is the most important thing a prop does. I'm just saying don't forget this front row is learning their craft at this level, or is that not allowed these days?

Great try in the corner from Leger. You wouldn't think Wellington has a man more.

What's up with the goal kickers tonight? There's hardly any wind in Wellington.

Shocking performance from Wellington so far. 7 handling errors on a night like this is a joke.

That was really soft by Counties, both sides given up soft tries now. Wellington just after they scored their 1st and now Counties when they were going to get back to 15 men

Can someone tell Peter Umaga Jensen to tackle like a normal player instead of trying to strip every time.

@Canes4life You are aware that they are all super rugby players. Players already with Super contracts should not still be "learning their craft" at a lower level.
