    Sad loss.

I joined the St Kilda cheer squad during the 80s when I was a young’un and would go down to Moorabbin mid-week to do the banner when we had home games. Sometimes the team would be training on the same night and they would come and hang out with the cheer squad.

Given the dark days the cheer squad wasn’t that big and we got to spend time with the players. Danny was the ultimate team man and always had time for us. He loved to have a laugh. Helped Plugger come out of his shell too.

Very memorable times and Danny was the man.

On footy classified, they showed the number for lifeline on the bottom of the screen , absolutely tragic

@ACT-Crusader my first footy spectating experience was at Moorabbin. Remember the crowd running on to the field to swamp plugger - think he had kicked his 100th goal of the season

Terrible news about Frawley, presume if they are publishing Lifeline numbers they must have a good indication that it was suicide

    sigh

ah well, still a good year. Didn't watch Saturday live. Watched bits of it yesterday. Close, brutal, dirty game, so a good final. In that kind of environment we needed our mad ginger to keep Giants players looking over their shoulders. Well done GWS, you actually showed up when it got tough for once...

I'm still not sure how Geelong were able to run way from West Coast on Friday night.

I get the feeling both the winners from this week will front up and get belted this weekend

Also, farewell to one of my favourite footballers from any code in Luke Hodge. Fuck what a career that was.

I still can't believe you played for the Lions, how good? And can still play in September when it really matters.

Tigers Cats game is messing with folks blood pressure. Tigers with early lead befor3 cats took over and went to the half with a commanding lead. Tigers came back hard in second half took lead which cats have responded and tigers now with a slight lead heading into the 3rd quarter. Gripping game, whiskey's going down too easy.

4 point lead to the Tigers going into the last. Massive quarter coming up.

Terrific win by the Tigers. Great comeback from 20 odd down at the half

That was an intense game. Well done GWS for making their first granny.

Would’ve been robbed if they had lost.

Just watched the final quarter on replay. Wow. Wow. One helluva comeback from Collingwood. But eat a big fat chubby, Pies.

A close Brownlow finish coming up. Fyfe, Neale, Cripps all in the mix.

Fyfe ends up running away with it with a couple of 3 votes to close out.

    Second Brownlow for Fyfe.

    Midfielders lead the race again

I remember when Richmond played freo earlier in the year and Fyfe was very lucky he wasn’t suspended for some high contact.
    It’s a fine line sometimes.
Good player , that extra height and marking power for a mid, makes him a difficult player to shut down.

Fyfe is a beast, best player in the comp in my eyes. And he is surrounded by spuds, so there is no one to take votes off him.

But to poll 33 votes when your team wins 9 games? come on. He polled 3 votes in 4 games they lost? The voting is fucked. The refs are star fuckers.

Also the red carpet once again proves the AFL blokes are owning it on the missus stakes
