Discipline is a bit of an issue for Brazil. I blame the ref. It's what you get if you let too many things go.

Havili has moved to first five now.
Edited to add that he seems to have taken over the captaincy as well.

And just as I write that, the Baabaas halfback, Jano Vermaak, scores a try; Havili converts.

    Baabaas lead33 - 15 after 54 minutes.

There is no English commentary for this game, so Sky broadcasts the game without commentary. Strangely enough (or maybe it's not so strange?), I'm not missing it at all.

That's the full time score. Maybe not the best of games, but an awesome occasion for rugby in Brazil. Not a full stadium like the game against the Maori ABs, but still a good crowd for an evening game on a week day.

Having seen some photos on Bryn Hall's instagram, it looks like Warren Gatland has called up a few North Harbour boys for the Baabaas. Bryn Hall, Matt Duffie and Shaun Stevenson are all staying in the same hotel in Cardiff as the Barbarians, instead of joining their SR team's for the first week of pre-season. Is Bryn Gatland still injured, or can we expect to see him in the Baabaas jersey, too?

Edited to add that it looks like some of the South African players have gone home.

Robbie Deans has joined Warren Gatland as coach for the Barbarians match against Wales.

There have also been several changes in the Baabaas squad; David Havili, Andrew Makalio and a few Springboks have gone home, while the three Harbour players that I mentioned in a previous post, have joined the team.

It's weird how they've put a region before some teams (Natal, Auckland, Waikoto) and not others (Crusaders, Stormers).

@Bones I assume they've only added a region before the name where there's the possibility of confusion with another team? (Waikato Chiefs - Exeter Chiefs, Natal Sharks - Sale Sharks, Auckland Blues - Cardiff Blues)

Well that's what anyone with at least a hint of intelligence would think, yes.

SO if he doesn't play does he become ineligible for another two or so years on residency?

@Machpants I don't think so. He has met the residency requirement as it applies before the cut-off date of 31 December 2020. The words "... consecutive months of Residence immediately preceding the time of playing" in Regulation 8.1 (see below) make it a bit unclear, but it would be weird if an injury would lead to an extension of the residency requirement.

8.1 Subject to Regulation 8.2, a Player may only play for the senior fifteen-a-side National Representative Team, the next senior fifteen-a-side National Representative Team and the senior National Representative Sevens Team of the Union of the country with which the Player has a genuine, close, credible and established national link in which:

    (c) he has completed sixty¹ consecutive months of Residence immediately preceding the time of playing; or

¹ The sixty-month residency requirement comes into effect after the cut-off date of December 31, 2020. The residency requirement up to and including December 31, 2020 is “thirty-six consecutive months of Residence immediately preceding the time of playing”.
